This property photographs better than the location. It was clean and housed many guests. It felt like we were staying in somebody's house. There were 12 flip flops at the door. I would not recommend.

The residence made an excellent initial impression, presenting as a spacious property filled with character and immediate visual appeal. However, the overall experience did not fully align with expectations, particularly when considering the established rental rate.Upon entry, we noted a distinct and persistent musty odor, suggestive of mildew, permeating the internal environment. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the bathrooms was unsatisfactory and did not meet required hygiene standards. We communicated these concerns, along with the observation of an exterior door that had been left open, to the host. Unfortunately, the responses provided were vague and did not offer effective solutions or resolution.Our stay included an uncomfortable external interaction when a neighbor approached us to dispute our parking location, asserting that we had occupied their designated spot. Internally, a safety concern arose regarding the dining set, as both the table and chairs felt unstable and insecure during use.While the property fulfilled our basic accommodation needs for the weekend, a significantly higher standard of cleanliness and proactive maintenance is imperative. We would consider renting the property again only if these specific issues—particularly hygiene, odor mitigation, and furniture stability—are demonstrably addressed and resolved.Attached are photographs documenting the specific maintenance and cleanliness issues encountered.

The inside of the home was very clean. Spacious and comfortable. The backyard was okay. There was a lot of dry plant and dead leaves, yet it was still very comfortable to hang out outside.

We stayed in San Jose to attend a family wedding. This house was a good fit for our extended family. House was clean and well equipped with all the comforts of home. Within walking distance to groceries, restaurants, shopping. Stayed here with 7 people. Plenty of room for all and nicely decorated. The bidet in master bath room was a nice touch. I am planning to install one in our home. Would definitely stay here again.

The place was Quiet and safe but needs more deep cleaning …the house had a musty smell and roaches in the kitchen. We didn’t do any cooking , used only the coffee maker and brought our own food in . Kitchen needs to be treated .Check in and checking out was easy .

My family, friends and I stayed here for our San Francisco vacation. It was within an hours reach of San Francisco, Santa Cruz, & Levis Stadium. The house is spacious, comfy & family friendly.

The main house was clean as were the bedrooms and bathrooms but the kitchen was dirty. We encountered a number of cockroaches of all sizes in the house. Seems they need to have it fumigated.

Good gathering spot for a group

House was clean and well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Beds were comfortable. We could have used more blankets. We borrowed some from family in the area. House could use a brush up, minor things need attention such as bathroom hooks that were loose, leak under the kitchen sink, loud thumping noise when we ran the washing machine, just general TLC but overall it served us well and location was perfect for us.

Perfect Place to Rendevous Before My Daughter's Wedding

Our host was kind enought to allow us to add an extra guest which was really helpful. We had friends and family arriving for my daughter's wedding weekend from around the country. We all got in at different times but it was easy to access the property. It had a large fridge which meant we could do a lot of shopping for our DIY Wedding at OVY Camp. The property was large enough that we did not feel cramped with 11 people. The beds were comfortable. The second floor bedrooms were warm and cozy but the bunk bedroom on the first floor was chilly. There was at least one extra quilt available. We were in such a rush in and out that we didn't even use the pool table, exercise equipment or basketball court but they were great to have. Cleanliness wasn't really an issue but there were some "deferred maintenace " issues. The master bedroom bathroom door needed a door stop to stay closed. The toilet paper holders wiggled around alot and the TP would fall off. The place is advertised for 10 people but there were only 6 coffee/tea mugs. We didn't use the plates or need all the cutlery and glasses so I'm not sure if there was enough for 10 people. There were some paper hot cups to supplement. The oven and coffee maker worked great. We were able to park a 16 foot box truck, a sprinter Van and a RAV4 in the driveway which was great. Overall it, it suited our needs perfectly as a place to comfortably gather, reconnect and sleep the night before heading to the weekend wedding venue.

Amazing home with great amenities

We stayed 2 nights in this clean and beautiful home, central to all the things San Jose has to offer. The bathrooms were immaculate. The kitchen had everything you could need. Would definitely stay again!

Family stay for a wedding nearby

The living room space was very nice and fine for a large group. The master bedroom was fine, but the four other rooms were quite small (ok for sleeping only). While the kitchen was spacious and had been upgraded, it was very poorly stocked!! The quality of the pots and pans was pretty low grade, no large frying pan. The knives were dull! There were 6 glasses, 6 unmatched wine glasses, 6 cups, less than 12 servings of utensils. No kitchen linens, not even towels. No scissors, wine openers, foil, ziploc bags, basic cooking materials like flour. No baking items (cookie sheets, casseroles, glass bake ware). If you are going to cook, bring your own everything! No tissues, lotion or conditioner in the Mst bath. No soap in second bath for 3 other bedrooms. No towels in downstairs bathroom. It was fine for our sleeping needs, but we would not stay there again. My first unhappy VRBO experience.

Centrally located San Jose House

Nice house that was centrally located for our vacation. The teenagers enjoyed the basketball hoop and the big TV’s. The house was nicely updated but did have a few areas that could have been cleaner. Overall we all enjoyed our stay.

Very well appointed. Enough beds, good quality mattresses and linens, superb kitchen (could use more plates and glasses for the number of people that this home can hold).. lovely backyard. Fast and easy communication and a GREAT checkout process. Bathrooms were very clean and amenities were sufficient. Highly recommend this home for large groups.
