Mermaid House took a hit from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. As a result we have new furniture and appliances throughout. The property is better than ever.

NOTE: Not a long term Rental. Stays of more than 30 days or 1 calendar month can be arranged but must be arranged with the Property Manager. Please use "Ask Manager a question" on this page for stays longer than cited above.

Spacious living, dining & kitchen area. There is a 60” TV in living room. Master bedroom has a TV. Both have Roku, Netflix and local Spectrum channels (Internet TV). Have High speed internet. Master bedroom has a King-sized bed. 2nd bedroom has a queen-sized bed. There is a laundry with full sized washer and dryer.

Large comfortable deck with gazebo and dock. There is plenty of seating for friends and family.

There is a dock available for your boat for an extra charge of $7.00/day to a maximum of $140/stay.

Located near some great Gulf Beaches including Caladesi Island which has been ranked as the #1 beach in America. Also, nearby Sun West Park is a spring fed lake and activity center with a great beach and lots of recreational opportunities.

This was our second time staying here & love it. It so nice to set in the shade & watch all the boats go by. The host & house cleaner were very understanding & helpful when we were late leaving because I had to take my husband to the emergency room.

Communication with the host was excellent. Easy check in and house was clean, well stocked, comfortable and well located. We loved sitting by the water and watching the fish jump, the sound of the birds and even had a dolphin swim by. Would love to stay at the house again. We stayed for the month of February 2026 and would like to do 6 weeks next time.

Awesome all the Way Around

Whether we were sitting outside enjoying the view or sitting inside watching something on Netflix, we were relaxing. Loved the openness of the main living area. I could prepare a meal while still be included in the conversation. Communication with our hosts was always handled in a timely fashion. I do miss my bird friends. They gave me the opportunity to capture some nest photos.

Beauty in the water

We loved staying at the mermaid house. In the morning we sat on the blue bar stools reading our Bible. Every morning there was an egret, great Blue heron, and an anhingha. The fish were jumping, too. The place was very comfortable and well equipped. The owners were very responsive to questions. Couldn’t ask for more.

Wedding trip

We were in town for a wedding. Great location, convenient to everything. Didn't get to enjoy all of the amenities of the house due to weather and time constraints, but hope to stay here again in the future. Communication with management was excellent. Overall a good experience.

Lovely home and location

Lovely house. Very comfortable and well stocked. Really enjoyed the swim spa. I'm recovering from a broken shoulder and shattered patella and bought some foam water weights to do PT in the spa. So much more fun in the water.

Family vacation 2024

3rd time teturn renter..... We had a great time relaxing and enjoying the prace and quietness of this location. Had a wonderful time scalloping but fishing was poor this trip. Until next year..
