  • Located in the 'Parco Benestare', an area of outstanding natural beauty in the communes of Gambassi Terme and Montaione, Podere Collinella is ideally situated in a beautiful rural location with fabulous panoramic 360 degree views. When viewing the property video, please turn on the sound 🔈 🔝

    The villa is a renovated 16th century converted farmhouse with a light & open feel. It has all 21st century amenities with well equipped bathrooms & kitchen and bespoke locally made furniture. The large shared pool (open 1 June-30 Sept) is a 50 metres walk away and boasts stunning views over classic Tuscan landscape. The property is attached to another but has an independent pathway, gardens and entrances. The west facing sun terrace is completely away from the adjoining property, the east facing patio has a dividing 2 metre high bamboo cane screen separating it from the adjoining property. Both patios are covered and having dining tables and chairs. The medieval hill towns of Volterra & San Gimignano are both 20 minutes by car and are perfect for sight seeing, shopping or dining out. The nearest village Il Castagno is only a 5 minute drive away and provides a local restaurant. Siena, Pisa, Florence or sandy Mediterranean beaches are all just 1 hour away by car (Florence is also accessible by train from nearby Castelfiorentino). The farmhouse is surrounded by olive groves & woodland and accessed along its own private gravel road. Please note that due to its rural location car hire is essential.

An unbelievable location for an awesome stay!

We loved everything about the villa and all it has to offer. Steve (property manager) was really helpful all through the booking process and during our stay. The surroundings, the views, the quietness, the beautiful towns to visit in an hour radius from the villa cannot be matched. We highly recommend the villa!

Amazing place

absolutely fantastic place with well-kept garden and clean houses. The pool area was just as beautiful as shown in the photos. We had a wonderful time with the children.

At home away from home in the Tuscan hills

Our group of four seniors thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. We stayed for five nights and managed to have lunch and dinner at a different spot every night within a reasonable driving distance. The property has stunning views and we spent a lot of time sitting outside with a glass of wine, just soaking it all in. Would highly recommend.

Tolle Urlaubszeit / Great Holidays

Da wir erst Ende August, Anfang September dort waren, waren wenig andere Gäste vor Ort und wir hatten den Pool fast für uns alleine 😀 Das Ferienhaus ist zentral gelegen, bis nach Pisa, nach Florenz oder auch an die Küste sind es nur 1 - 1,5 Std. Das Ferienhaus war sauber und es war alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Wir lieben die ruhige Lage und hatten eine tolle Zeit.

Country living at its best

This property is worth the drive. A little out of the way but so worth it. Old country farm feel. Small but cozy with outdoor areas that define country. Beautiful, period. Short drive to the beautiful Volterra and San Gimignano. Do it you will not regret it

Thoroughly enjoyed this gem!

The property exceeded our expectations. The villa was clean, well prepped and we did not encounter issues. The scenery was better than in the photos and the guides given to us by the host led us to some delicious meals. We spent a great deal of time sitting outside. The amenities in the house made everything easy. Beds were clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Stay

We stayed as a family of five and really enjoyed it. The farm house is lovely and well equipped, the location is great in the middle of the countryside. The separation of the kids (upstairs) and parents is a clear plus as is the air conditioning during hot Italian summer. The pool is close by and large enough to actually swim (or play). You can almost always a bit of shade on one of the two patios. All the attractions of Tuscany are within easy car reach.

excellent location in the middle of Tuscany

Really nice property in the middle of Tuscany between amazing landscape. Therefore, however, not easy to reach with every car because of a long and gravel path. The manager is friendly and always available in case of questions.

Exceptional Home

This villa was perfect for our holiday in Toscana. Although we encounter bees swarming at the entry Steve had a beekeeper on site before we returned from the grocery. The Villa was a perfect location for our day trips to various Tuscan cities. The views were stunning from all sides. Steve was a perfect host, giving us information on some of the lesser known towns, he also hooked us up with an incredible chef to cook a special birthday dinner in our kitchen. We HIGHLY recommend.

Ruhige Ferienhaus mi Blick auf den Hügel von Volterra

Kleine Doppelhaushälfte in sehr gutem Zustand, großer Pool mit einigen anderen Häusern geteilt. Der Blick rundum ist grandios. Es ist etwas abgelegen, man fährt über 2 km auf einer privaten schmalen Schotterstraße. Wir waren im August da, da war es sehr heiß und trocken. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Toskana sind mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen.

Fantastisch uitzicht en fijn groot zwembad.

Heerlijk rustige locatie. Schitterend weids uitzicht. Weg er naar toe is behoorlijk hobbelig maar te doen. Alles aanwezig in het huis, echter de keuken en woonkamer zijn aan de kleine kant. En advertentie is niet duidelijk dat het om een 2-onder-1 kap woning gaat, dus je kunt directe buren hebben.

Lovely accommodation

Great spacious accommodation with lovely views and a welcome breeze! All the appliances you'll need on holiday and Steve was a very attentive property contact who helped to resolve a couple of minor issues we had. It is mentioned in the listing but its worth just being aware that the accommodation is around 30 minutes from most things such as restaurants, shop, etc. Not a criticism of the property but this may not work for everyone. I would definitely recommend staying here!

First Time In Tuscany

This was our first trip to Italy. This property is centrally located so made it super nice to have one location to tour from without having to move our luggage all around. Our flight was late getting in so it was after 10 pm when we arrived on the property and it was a bit intimidating arriving in the dark and not knowing exactly where we were going. The villa was very comfortable and the views were amazing. The Property Manager was quick to respond to any of my questions prior to our arrival and during our stay. I can’t imagine a better property or location for the money. We would definitely consider staying again.

I Read comment on the Path to get there and I tought that was the price to pay for calm and Serenity. NO it is a 10 -15 min drive on a winding roller coaster path. As far as calm is concern, wrong again when a family come next door with there 2 kids and grand parent. I forgot to mention about one of the bathroom that we could not use because of its unbearable odor. Answer from the owner…. Just close the door

Not as expected

Overall the villa was ok kitchen cleanliness was poor. It was stated access road was rough just not how rough, be prepared and take your fly spray and go food shopping before arrival as nearest shop is about 8km and not brilliant, so all in all we would not book this villa again. There is no mention of the large plastic that covers the arch door so this cannot be used. We will be sending a full review to Steve Pitts the Property manager with further photo's.
