Akaroa Central apartment

A wonderful modern apartment in Akaroa on the Banks Peninsula, located on the second level of a small 2-story apartment block. The apartment is conveniently located on the main street in the village and features some of the best views in Akaroa.

Our holiday apartment is a fantastic getaway for a couple or a family. Light and spacious, just the recipe for a relaxing holiday by the sea. A separate kitchenette and large living area allows enough room to spread out. The balcony has tables and seating from which you can enjoy the views and the atmosphere of this beautiful seaside town.

Free off-street parking is provided for one car.

Literally in the heart of Akaroa, restaurants, shops, the main wharf and tour operators are just a minute's walk away. The school, with children's play area, and a cinema is within easy walking distance as well.

Tourist activities include both dolphin watching and swimming with dolphins, guided kayaking, fishing, surfing or walks, and a relaxed village around which you can just stroll and enjoy the views, the people, the atmosphere.

There’s a good playground if travelling with children close to the very family-friendly beach. A pleasant drive by car to the outer bays of the Peninsula will find some of the best unspoiled beaches in Canterbury. The village boasts a good supermarket, many cafes, and a host of wonderful restaurants. Akaroa harbour offers great walks and hikes, along with boutique shopping, galleries, wineries and the famous Barry Bay cheese factory.

Akaroa is 1.5 hours from Christchurch city, and has a regular mini-bus service operating between Christchurch City, and both the airport terminals if you’re arriving from another city.
