Lake Macquarie Escape - Cottage close to lake/shops

Welcome to Lake Macquarie Escape - Summerland Point is the perfect setting to spend a few days or weeks simply relaxing, skiing, swimming, paddling, boating and fishing.

This cottage style home is well equipped for a small family getaway or couples.

This two-bedroom cottage has 1 Queen bed, and two king singles beds accommodating up to 4 people in total. The bed linen and towels are of high quality. Spacious living room, with a large smart TV and free Wi-fi. Kitchen is fully equipped for a short or long getaway with appliances, crockery, cutlery and pantry items!

It is only a short 10 minute walk down to Summerland Point Reserve & Boat Harbour, you will also find a cafe/bakery, restaurant, food works, bottle shop and a few other shops.

Modern bathroom also provided with bath towels and also have a limited supply of hand soap and toilet paper. You will also find a separate toilet and also a laundry with facilities to use such as a washing machine and dryer!

Lake Macquarie Escape also invites pets to the property as it is fully securely fenced, perfect for your fur babies to enjoy the scenery. This fully fenced yard is also great for young kids so you can relax on the balcony while the kids play.
Please bare in mind that the height on the front fence is not very high (if you have a dog that loves to jump)

Important message for guests organising events.
We have a strict no party or events policy. It is in a quiet neighbourhood, so any type of events such as hens/bucks/schoolies/end of season sporting groups/birthday parties celebration are not allowed. If you are unsure if your group falls into any of these categories please enquire before booking. We can easily determine if the house rule of “No parties or events” is disrespected, and this means additional charges, bond forfeited and/or eviction will apply.

Clean and comfortable

Good size old cottage. Mostly renovated. Clean, comfortable and lots of homely touches. Well supplied with all the basics including kitchen and some pantry staplesPack your own tissues and some absorbant T towels. No dishwasher. Back yard got very boggy with all the heavy rain. Not suitable for little white dog in this weather. Otherwise excellent, no complaints

Great family and pet friendly location

Stayed over Christmas with my family and small pooch. Walking distance to Sandy Beach and amenities. Short drive to popular beaches (Catherine Hill, Frasier's) and Swansea. Neat and tidy home that served as very well for our stay in a nice, quiet neighbourhood. Would definitely book again.

Comfortable cottage

This older style cottage is comfortable, has a great yard and outdoor area and plenty of space. Bathrooms are renovated, but lack any heating for chilly winter mornings. The kitchen is original style without a dishwasher but has most equipment and some useful pantry staples. Short walk to shops and waterfront. Pleasant stay - thank you for sharing your house.

We enjoyed our stay there. Old property with some issues. Dirty pillow, overgrown gardens etc. the bathrooms, kitchen and floors were very clean. Secure pet friendly yard. A couple of minutes walk to the village and river. Easy drive to Caves beach and Warners bay etc. we would give this property three stars.

Comfortable and peaceful

Lovely house with high standard facilities. No dishwasher, which didn't bother us, but there was a washer and dryer (no laundry powder provided). Very quiet neighbourhood. Bakery, Foodworks, Thai Takeaway and Fish & Chips just down the bottom of the street. Excellent Autumn, or Spring getaway. Bit of a drive to get to ocean beaches if it is a summer holiday.

Relaxing home away from home

Loved our quiet and peaceful stay in Summerland Point over the New Year holidays. It is a very comfortable and well-presented home with everything we needed. The bbq on the back verandah was perfect for summer evenings and enjoying the garden with our little dog. It’s a short walk to the great local bakery, and some corner shops. 15 min drive to pretty Catherine Hill Bay, 20 mins to Caves Beach, and to Cams Wharf for some kayaking on Lake Macquarie, 30 mins to Trinity Point Marina for a nice lunch.

Nicely located house and great backyard

Enjoyable stay. Well appointed kitchen and great having the backyard for the dog. Barbecue great asset to have. Quiet neighbourhood and good location with multiple walks to go on around the lake. Close to other venues.

We’ll equipped and situated with generous pantry inclusions. There were several basic maintenance issues that affected enjoyment, several blown lightbulbs, drawers and doors stuck or off rails. Linens fresh and clean but other areas made it clear that cleaning was surface only and relied on cleanliness of previous guests. Eg shampoo shelf above bath filthy and all basic cups and plates and bowls had to be pre washed before use.

Great House and Location

We absolutely loved our stay at this cute little home by the lake. It was larger than it appeared in the pictures and came well stocked with everything we needed. The kids loved the large beautiful garden and being pet friendly was a real bonus also. We’ll be back.

Beautiful cottage with fabulous kitchen equipment for a rental. Lovely back deck area with seating to catch the afternoon sun. Enclosed back garden so great for pets and children. Shops, bottle shop and couple of cafes close by. Very quiet.

Lovely getaway

We had a great staycation here with our dog. The house has great amenities, fully fenced front and back yards, a leisurely stroll to the shops and generally cosy and homely. We'd definitely consider coming back for a longer stay!
