Our nest in the pines is the perfect place to rest and enjoy the wildlife. Our clean, comfortable two bedroom home is perfect for relaxing or as a base to explore the many attractions that surround the area including the Big Horns Mountains themselves. Whatever your reason for visiting the area, we are here to make sure you have a great stay. We are in the middle of nowhere, but close to everything. The Neighborhood:
You’ll love exploring charming Story, Wyoming—a peaceful and welcoming community nestled near the Bighorn Mountains. Just a short, pleasant stroll (less than half a mile) from the house, you'll find a quaint grocery store open daily (7:30 am–7:30 pm) offering essentials, plus fishing and hunting licenses. Next door, explore the Story Museum or mail postcards from the charming Story Post Office.
Don't miss Piney Creek Pottery, located atop Tunnel Hill. Beyond stunning handmade pottery, you'll be intrigued by its distinctive round, rammed-earth architecture. Across from the pottery shop is the newly reopened Tunnel Inn Restaurant—perfect for a cozy meal after exploring.
Nearby, visit the Story Fish Hatchery, open to visitors year-round. Centennial Park, adjacent to the hatchery, offers family-friendly fun with a soccer field, playground, picnic area, and disc golf course. For disc golf enthusiasts, Sheridan offers three additional courses just a short drive away.

Exploring Story is easy and enjoyable! Many local spots, like the grocery store, museum, and post office, are within walking distance, making it a great place for a morning stroll. If you're up for more adventure, a short drive opens up endless opportunities.
Having a car is the best way to experience everything the area offers. Sheridan, just 20 minutes away, boasts fantastic restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, and entertainment. If you're heading into the Bighorn Mountains, scenic drives, hiking trails, and breathtaking vistas await.
