2. Check-In and Check-Out
Check-In: Standard check-in time is 4 PM. Early check-ins may be accommodated upon request and subject to availability. Lockbox instructions will be provided; contact us immediately if you encounter any issues.
Check-Out: Check-out time is 10 AM. Late check-outs must be approved in advance and may incur a fee of $100 for every 30 minutes past the agreed time.
3. Parking
Driveway: One compact car may park in the driveway. Ensure the sidewalk and neighbors’ driveways are not blocked.
Street Parking: Additional street parking is readily available with no restrictions. Guests are responsible for any damage caused by improper parking.
4. Property Access
Entry: Guests may access the property via the front patio, where a lockbox is located near the entrance gate.
Issues: Contact us immediately for assistance if you encounter lockbox or access issues.
5. Quiet Hours and Neighborhood Etiquette
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 8 PM to 7 AM daily, with additional siesta hours from 12 PM to 3 PM. Please respect these hours to maintain a peaceful environment.
Outdoor Noise: After 8 PM, use the front patio with the fire pit for any activities to avoid disturbing neighbors.
6. Pet Policy
Disclosure Required: All pets must be disclosed and approved during the booking process. Unauthorized pets will incur a $200 fee per pet.
Pet Behavior:
No pet waste (urination or defecation) is permitted on grass, bushes, fences, or planters.
Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
Any excessive mess or damage caused by pets will result in additional cleaning or repair fees.
Eviction: Repeated violations may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement without a refund.
7. Smoking and Vaping
Smoking Areas: Smoking and vaping are permitted outdoors only, either on the front sun deck or in the backyard. Smoking indoors is strictly prohibited.
Cleaning Fee: Evidence of indoor smoking will result in a $300 cleaning fee.
8. Unauthorized Guests and Events
Registered Guests Only: Only guests listed on the reservation are permitted on the property.
Unauthorized Guests: A fee of $250 per unauthorized guest will be charged.
No Events: Parties, events, or gatherings are strictly prohibited.
Eviction Clause: Violations of this policy will result in immediate termination of the rental agreement, and guests will be required to vacate the property without refund.
9. Maintenance and Yard Access
Gardener Visits: The gardener visits every two weeks on Wednesday. Please ensure backyard access is available.
Backyard Use: Guests may use the designated backyard area, ending at the bushes/planters. Other areas are private and off-limits.
10. EV Charging
Availability: An EV charger is available for use. Additional fees may apply; contact us for pricing.
11. Cleaning and Damage
Condition at Check-Out: The property must be left in the same condition as at check-in.
Damage or Mess: Guests are responsible for damages or excessive mess caused by themselves, their pets, or their visitors. Additional cleaning fees start at $250.
Lost Keys: A fee of $250 will be charged for lost, unreturned, or damaged keys.
12. Cancellation and Refunds
No Refunds for Evictions: Guests evicted for violating house rules will not receive refunds.
Non-Refundable Use: No refunds will be provided for partial stays terminated due to rule violations.
13. Host Rights and Evidence Policy
Documentation: The host reserves the right to document the property (photos/videos) before, during, and after the stay to verify damages or rule violations.
Dispute Resolution: In case of payment disputes, documentation will be provided to resolve matters in the host’s favor.

The house was beautiful and the kitchen was stocked with basics that we needed. I would be cautious to get rental insurance if you’re a bigger person because the furniture was a bit fragile.

When you go on vacation, the last thing you want is a message that says, "I see you had a guest." That happened to me after my son’s friend from SDSU briefly stopped by before we all went to dinner. It was unsettling to realize the host was actively monitoring us through a Ring camera — something that was never clearly disclosed.On top of that, the host messaged me every single day of our stay, which made it hard to feel relaxed or at ease. He also kept pushing me to go to the Hostaway portal to fill out additional information, even though I booked through VRBO. That felt intrusive and confusing, and it added to the overall stress of the experience.The unit itself is directly attached to another occupied space, which wasn’t made clear in the listing. A man kept walking by our windows — which had no curtains — creating a very uncomfortable environment, especially on the first night when it was just me and my daughter.To make matters worse, the “double couch” advertised was actually a small futon, totally unsuitable for my 6’2” son.Between the lack of privacy, misleading details, constant communication, and being pressured to use a third-party system, this stay was anything but restful. I wouldn’t book this property again and wouldn’t recommend it unless serious changes are made to how guests are treated and how the property is represented.

We were in San Diego for a convention, and this location was perfectly located near freeways but not too close. Each day we were able to take our pups to the beach, grab a bite, get to our convention, and meet up with friends for dinner in a neighborhood - all within a 15 minute drive. The house was clean and peaceful. I loved sitting in the hammock on the back porch to read and decompress.

The house was very clean and included all the required items for our family to make it a home away from home. The appliances in the kitchen and all the cookware was sufficient to make multiple meals. Two great private sitting areas outdoors and location was in close proximity to many areas we visited. The host was also available and quick to respond for any questions. We would definitely return next time we visit the area. Overall it was a great stay!
