Lovely relaxing penthouse next to Spanish Steps

Lovely and charming high-rise penthouse with a terrace where you can relax in full privacy.
Located 5 minutes by foot from the elegant Vittorio Veneto street and Villa Borghese, is just:
- 10 minutes by foot from Spanish Steps and Rome historic center and shopping district (Via dei Condotti and Via Frattina)
- 12 minutes by foot from Trevi Fountain
- 20 minutes by foot from Pantheon
Easy to reach all other Rome places because Barberini metro stop is just 5 minutes away by foot.
The apartment consists of a double bedroom (double bed 140 cm wide), a single bedroom, a living room, a fully furnished kitchen, a bathroom and a dining room with large sliding windows with access to the furnished terrace.
It's furnished with everything you need to enjoy your stay: air conditioning (in bedrooms, living room and dining room), free Wi-Fi, TV, coffee machine, microwave, toaster.
The penthouse is reachable with a flight of stairs from the highest floor served by the elevator.
House ceiling is 215cm (7' feet) high.
Guests will have access to the entire apartment.

- Private guided tours to archeology sites or museums.
- Rome private custom sightseeing tour in a golf cart.
- Cooking class and home dinner with the chef.

As requested by Italian law, upon check-in the guest will be requested to provide id document for any person hosted and will have to sign a rental agreement in Italian.
For stays equal to or greater than 14 days, a payment of € 130 in cash is required upon check-in as an addition to the cleaning fee for housekeeping and the change of all linens on the day in the middle of the stay between 10:00AM and 04:00PM.
Late check-in from 09:00PM to midnight costs 30€ to be paid cash upon check-in. It's not possible to check-in after midnight.
Host is not responsible for any guest belongings left or forgotten in the house after checkout time.

Penthouse

The apartment was exactly as advertised. It's in a nice neighborhood, with plenty of restaurants close by. Also close to the bus stop. We had a nice time in Rome and it was nice to have this home to come back to at the end of a long day.

Rome-antic!

Donatella and the team are amazing. Great communication and very helpful at every point. Even when our flight was cancelled the night of! The apartment is super clean, so quiet and in the best location ever! It is between 2 metros but truly walkable anywhere aside from the metro. You can get to the farthest points of the city within 30 min of WALKING! (If you are a walker). If not, the metro is super convenient and easy. Remember, you can buy a week metro pass at the metro station but if the kiosks are busy and you are in a rush, you can tap your credit cards at the entrance gates and pay that way for the one ride you need in a rush. From the airport- take them up on arranging transport. It is SOOOO worth the money! The agency Donatello uses are so professional and kind. When we were leaving we never worried about a lift to the airport or worried if we would be on time. Yes, you can use the metro but this is by far the best with or without children! I fell in love with Rome! This time it was only my husband and I celebrating our 20th anniversary….I am definitely returning with my children. I will definitely be reaching out to Donatella and the team to see if they have a place for 5 next time!! Grazie Mille!!!!

Rome at the Penthouse

Lovely stay it ticked every box for us! Location was great. The host was very accommodating and took care of our transfers from Port and then back to FCO Airport. We couldn’t be happier!! Lovely home and 10 stars!!

Great condo in great location

Really enjoyed this penthouse with my wife on a visit to Rome -- excellent neighborhood with nice neighbors and shops/restaurants. Property managers were all great and communication and advice was greatly appreciated.

Wonderful flat

The hosts were incredible and the process was seamless. The apartment was as advertised and has plenty of room for the 3 of us. Well equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect to reach all the sites easily. We will stay here again.

The apartment delivers as promised,(thank-you!), is well located, has an adequately equipped kitchen and the terrace is a welcomed oasis from which to relax and enjoy warm weather and sunshine. The apartment is beginning to show its age and while clean, it is not super-clean. There was no power to the oven (which we did not report) but all else operated as expected.

Lots to love about this place

I especially loved the outdoor space and the location. It could have been even better if everything was in good working order but that’s Rome. Marco was very helpful and did eventually resolve all of the issues. The test for me is would I stay there again and the answer is yes. So while not perfect it was really nice enough.

The best vacation Ive ever had

The location could not have better. Close tp everything and out of the touristy areas. Great restaurants nearby and Borghese gardens.Hosts were exceptional and went above and beyond. We spent most of the time on our private rooftop patio. The cleaning lady was so nice and friendly, I felt like a part of her family. Look no further, trust me. This is my second time to Rome and we will be staying here again.

Nice Neighborhood

The description is very accurate. The rooftop terrace is an added bonus, and the neighborhood is definitely higher end. Several embassies, and top-tier hotels and restaurants abound, making this a very safe area. However, there are many more affordable restaurants within a five minute walk. Roma Termini station is an easy 15-20 minute walk. Our host met us in person and gave us a through introduction to the place, typical of Italian VRBO’s. If in Rome again, I would definitely consider staying here on a return trip.

Lovely rooftop apartment. Walking distance to all the major sights, and if you don’t want to walk, the metro is a few minutes walk. The Turkish steam shower was a bonus, even though the temps were still in the 30’s. Great selection of restaurants within a few blocks. Simple pizza to white tablecloths.

Beautiful is all I need to say!!!

Donatello and Marco were the best. Always responses quickly! Arranged transportation for us too!!! The apartment is beautiful and large. The outdoor patio is fantastic and don’t get me started how awesome the shower was. Location is perfect… Everything is walkable and close. Lots of places to eat near. Don’t think twice just book it!!!!

Great location, clean, plenty of space

The location of the apartment was great. We were able to walk to a lot of the attractions we wanted to see. There are a number of cafes and restaurants in the area. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The bedroom has an American double sized bed, and the fold out sofa bed is a queen. The sleeper sofa is very creaky, but nothing earplugs couldn't solve. The a/c units in the rooms worked great. We enjoyed the patio. Would definitely recommend the apartment to others.

Would stay here again!

Everything about this place is fantastic. Location is exceptional. Close to Spanish steps but not lots of foot traffic, the two restaurants directly across the street were ideal, one for breakfast the other for dinner. Very close to several bus lines and we took them frequently. We were close enough to the Hard Rock Cafe and American embassy so plenty of taxis nearby. Shower pressure was powerful which is much needed after a long day of walking. AC worked great which is needed because this penthouse is located at the top of a building (no views). The patio was perfect (can only see sky) every morning had breakfast outside. Washing machine was a life saver. And worked well. We didn’t use the spa bathtub. There is one set of keys and you need a key to run electrical so when you return the first thing we did was put those keys in and start the ac. We then showered by the time we showered the temperature was just fine. One draw back for hubby; the bed was very firm but I liked it so this property still gets max rating. Checking in was seamless and a folder with needed info was provided. It included scannable QR codes: very helpful. Printer was available but we did not need to use that. Plenty of outlets to charge gadgets. The lift/elevator is small but manageable it dropped us off one floor short so some stairs remained to get to the penthouse entrance door. A tenant, Candy, was so delightful feeding the birds. Thank you for hosting!

Amazing property

This property was awesome. It was very hot during our stay in Rome, but the AC kept up. We were told to keep the bathroom door closed because there was no AC there and the steam shower made it hard for the AC. We just opened the bathroom windows at night and dealt with a warmer bathroom. The terrace was great. We were going to have our 17 year old sleep out there, but during check-in Marco said we should lock the terrace at night. we decided against sleeping out there even though nothing happened. One small thing that we were not used to is how many people smoke in Rome. The front AC smelt a little like smoke and one of my pillow smelled like smoke. This again a very small thing. Read the description carefully. There is a cash cleaning fee that is required at check-in. It varies depending on your stay and I would have liked to pay that ahead of time, but VRBO does not allow for this variation, but Donatella describe it well in the property description. Donatella had great communication through VRBO Inbox. Always very responsive to all questions. And very prompt in all replies. Thank you very much for the amazing property. Overall rating 4.9.

Lovely Penthouse Apartment in Great Location

First of all, Silvia was a life-saver! She helped us check-in and move luggage in. She went way beyond her responsibilities with her help and time. The apartment had a great guest book--much better than most places. The apartment was very nice. It rained a lot, but the terrace was beautiful; it's just too bad we couldn't really use it. We definitely recommend this place!
