Up to 2 well behaved and completely housebroken dogs are welcome but must be included in your initial reservation. (A $100 fee will be charged if housekeeping reports a dog was in residence and your reservation did not include one.) Dogs must be on leash at all times outside of the home and cannot be left unattended for any length of time inside.

This spacious home, cozy furnishings and coastal decor will instantly welcome you. Enjoy thoughtful touches like hand soaps, candles and air fresheners from Bath & Body Works.
Just steps to the sand or a short walk into town, this relaxing retreat has something for everyone.
The gourmet kitchen features granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and a Jen-Air range. Bring your favorite bottle of wine and participate in our wine exchange. Choose from bottles at the house left by other guests and leave one for the next group.
The dining room has beautiful hand scraped hardwood floors and includes a spacious table with seating for up to 8. The living room welcomes you with an over-sized couch, leather chairs and a stunning view. Curl up with a good book or take your favorite beverage outside on the deck and take in the sound of the surf. This level of the home also offers a powder room.
Upstairs the master bedroom is the ultimate sanctuary, with a king-sized bed, a balcony to take in the amazing view, and a spa-like master bath with a Jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower. The master also has a nook set up as a home office in case you need to get some work done. You can't beat the view!
The third floor is also home to a guest bedroom which features a queen-sized bed and bay window, plus a spacious bathroom with walk in shower.
Travel sized soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided for your convenience.
The washer and dryer, available for guest use, are located between the master and guest bedrooms.
On the bottom floor you will find a large bonus room equipped with a queen bed, full sized futon, leather club chair, a mini fridge, and Keurig coffee maker along with a flat screen Smart TV, and a Wii gaming system. There is a sliding glass door to the path to the beach.
The back patio has a fish/crab cleaning table complete with running water, and this is also where you can cook the day's catch on a propane crab cooker.

Please note that unless special arrangements are made prior to your stay, check-in time is 4pm and check-out time 11am. (Early arrivals and late departures are not available during the Summer months.)

We loved the excellent location- so nice to be able to walk everywhere!It was inconvenient, for those staying in the ground floor tv room, to have to come thru garage and upstairs to use bathroom, brush teeth...The kitchen was very well stocked! We would have been very appreciative if a bbq grill was available. Overall, a great property in a fantastic location!

Always pleasant

I visit Rockaway every year, and this truly feels like home away from home. I can’t think of a better way to put it. It’s clean, well-stocked, and you can see the thoughtfulness in every detail.

Review

This is a nice property and nice area. The stairs were a bit much to handle unless you are young. It seemed like there were a lot of rules to follow and clean up to do. Most were things a person might automatically do but some seemed like they should have been included in all the cleaning fees, etc.

Great place to hang out!

There are some pros and cons depending on what you are needing in a place to stay. The positives outweigh the negatives and we enjoyed our stay. The house had everything we needed for cooking big meals and hanging out, well stocked with blankets, towels, movies, books, board games and TV options. The house is well decorated with lots of amenities. There was 6 of us and the only real complaint was the downstairs room was extremely cold and a little isolated from the rest of the house (we called and they brought us a heater the next day) the parking is very tight, it worked for us but some large vehicles would not fit there, The last was the other buildings around it were super close, not a big deal to us but could see how it would bother others. We would stay again it really is a good value and the walk to the beach is only a couple minutes.

Spectacular!

Mermaid’s cove was warm, welcoming, and beautiful. Very accommodating common areas, but then everyone could go and enjoy their own space as well. Nice views, and great location! Oh, and we really appreciated the nicely stocked spice cabinet :)

Great Thanksgiving with Ocean Views

We had a great Thanksgiving at this house. We love the closeness to the beach and ocean views. The house had enough sleeping arrangements for our family of 6 plus our 2 dogs and enough seating room for 8 for thanksgiving dinner. Love staying here this is our 2nd time in 2 years. It’s always clean and the property owner has always been available if we need something. Would highly recommend!!

Not what I thought.

The property was not up to my standards on being clean. Sand thru the house, very dusty, garbage in laundry room, towels in dryer, dishwasher full. There are 5hrs in between checking out and new clients checking in. I was told that there were several people in the house and the housekeeper couldn't get to everything. Even though, I see housekeeping has been LACK there of in the past yr. Tub stopper does not work, cold water faucet does not work. Could not use tub and this was the main reason to rent the house. Shower head head broken from hose. So 3 of us were working out of the other bathroom. I asked for some type of refund, as put yourself in my shoes when you see great pictures of the house and then it not being up to par. Good gesture that I did get my cleaning deposit back. I think I should have gotten more, when things did not work. I feel I would not of rec'd it, if I had not said anything. Home owner stated she didn't know about the things not working. Then maybe she needs to talk and ask ? to the housekeeper. As a Client, I should not of had to go thru this. You are in a TOWN HOUSE, so beware, you go up 15 stairs to main floor, then another 15 stairs to bedrooms. From where the house is located, you can barely see the ocean, unless you are on the left side of the deck. Parking is not ideal, so be very careful pulling in to driveway, as it's so tight.

Best vacation house on the Oregon Coast

We absolutely LOVED this house! ❤️ It was amazing...right when we walked in, we fell in love! It made our Birthday weekend that much more special. It was well stocked, the kitchen had everything you could think of. It is close to the beach, about a one minute walk. Plus, Pronto pup on the corner walking to the beach. The house had chairs and a wagon to help wheel all your belongings to the beach. Which was a life saver! We had a dog and it was so easy to walk on to either of the potty spots outside. The tv and movies, games, puzzles... made the stay that much more enjoyable! View was amazing too! There is so much more I could say about the properly. Beds, tons of cozy blankets, towels... we were able to wash our clothes and towels quickly and conveniently because it was next to the bedrooms. The owners really take pride in their home. It shows they really care about the people renting and want their experience to be pleasant. Can't wait to go back!! 🥰

Great location

We enjoyed our stay. Kitchen was fully stocked to be able to cook. Access to the beach is very easy. Overall pretty clean. But there were a few things that were confusing from the listing…. 1. Because the heat is turned so low from when the people before you leave it’s quite cold in the house and takes a few hours to be comfortable. 2. There are two flights of stairs. We didn’t have problems with this but we didn’t realize from the description. As soon as you walk in one flight to living room and kitchen. Then to access two main bedrooms another flight of stairs. 3. The entryway has no heat. When you walk down from the main level to the door outside/entryway there is absolutely no heat. You get about halfway down the stairs and it’s freezing. 4. The 3rd bedroom is accessed through the garage. From the entryway of the townhome go into the garage and walk to the back where there is a door to that bedroom. Again, freezing to get there but the room heats up nicely. I didn’t realize the location and this is the bedroom we were using for our two boys (4 and 6 years old). 5. Parking is quite tight. Being able to access garage is nice. But the driveway goes over a stream so railings and big concrete on edges for safety which makes it tight. Overall it was comfortable just a couple of details that we didn’t get from the listing description that might help others when booking. Keep in mind we stayed in December.

Wonderful stay

This townhouse is beautiful with wonderful decor and furnishings. It is all very spacious, comfy and relaxing. It worked great for a 22 month old too with the baby gate to keep the stairway safe. We loved having beach chairs to use and a wagon to haul our gear to the beach each day. The jetted tub is a nice bonus for those who love baths. The games, puzzles and DVDs made for fun evenings and cool mornings. Highly recommend this property.
