Surround yourself with historic homes, tree-lined streets, and some of the best restaurants and cafes in the city when you escape to this beautifully renovated condo in Portland's West End. Revel in the century-old mansions nearby and the clapboard-sided homes famed architect John Calvin Stevens designed around the turn of the century.

This second-story condo is part of a gorgeous old building that dates back to the 19th century. On this quiet street in a neighborhood renowned for its old-world charm, you can leave your car in one dedicated parking space and get around entirely on foot. The historic Old Port is only a few minutes away by Uber or car. Many of Portland's tastiest restaurants are within walking distance, so you'll always have delicious options. The Western Promenade overlooking the Fore River and Commercial Street are also within strolling distance. Indulge your creative side at the Portland Museum of Art or the Maine College of Art, which are less accessible on foot. Relax at the Nine Stones Spa, then try one of the many breweries or bars as the evening approaches for a refreshing drink. Ride the Casco Bay ferry before returning to your vacation home for an even more scenic way to view Portland.

While the building dates back to the late 1800s, the condo was thoughtfully redesigned to give it a bright, airy, and modern feel. Throughout the space, you'll find wood floors, oversized windows, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and custom cabinetry in the kitchen and bathrooms. The modern heat pump system for heating and cooling ensures you'll have your ideal temperature.

After a day spent visiting the Portland Head Light, come home to a polished living room with a TV providing local and national television, a well-equipped kitchen, and such home conveniences as a stacked washer/dryer and complimentary high-speed WiFi. Each bedroom has a TV offering the same programming as that found in the living room, en suite bathroom sporting tiled showers with frameless shower doors, and remote-controlled air-conditioning, giving everyone the privacy and comfort they crave.

This condo is in a multi-unit building where you will hear the occasional neighboring sounds.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

It is a beautiful space - lovely bedrooms, comfy, cozy bedding, nicely appointed kitchen & bathrooms - and very comfortable living room! It is a perfect apartment for 2 couples - each has their own bathroom. The neighborhood is quiet and pretty - and close to Old Port with its restaurants and water views. We hope to come back in the summer & will definitely book our stay here!

The property was exactly as advertised. The pictures were accurate, and it was clean. It was professionally managed. The parking space was tight and small, but that is typical in Portland. There were numerous text messages—perhaps a bit too many for me, but others may appreciate them. I would highly recommend this property.

Great Portland Location!

This was our third time staying at the West End Condo. The property has all the necessary amenities and is surprisingly quiet at night. The kitchen/living room are great for small family hangouts, and the two en-suites provide much appreciated privacy. We love that it is located within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, and museums. Overall, it’s a great place to stay in the city!

Lovely condo in the West End

The condo lived up to all of our expectations. Well situated near excellent bakeries and restaurants, yet on a quiet residential street. Condo was very clean and had good beds and linens. Nicely decorated. Washer /dryer a definite plus. Parking is indeed a bit tight; you just have to back in the driveway so you can get out. Thank you!

Very nice property and condo is well appointed! Great place for 2 couples although it was just 2 of us. Parking - 1 spot in tight quarters is the only complaint although I don't know if anything can be done about it.

Wonderful location. We walked into downtown from the house. Loved the separation between bedrooms which gave us some privacy. Nice en-suite bathrooms. A/C. Washer/dryer. Full refrigerator and well-stocked kitchen. Parking. We will definitely be back!

As advertised - very clean - well stocked kitchen, drip coffee maker and a Keurig, lots of linens that were not skimpy. Steep stairs up and no table for playing cards - there was a nice counter with chairs and a low coffee table, which were the only negatives. Not a buzzing neighborhood, but a few nice spots for ramen, groceries, wine, etc. But very close to all the cool downtown activities and the Art Museum.

A quick weekend trip from Massachusetts

Great quiet well-equipped spot

We had a small family weekend in Portland. This was our base and it turned out to be perfect. Very close to restaurants, shops, etc. and super quiet. We got solid rest on comfortable beds. The showers worked great for us and having in unit. Laundry was an awesome perk. We were able to depart with clean clothes and rested bodies and minds. We will be back.
