Our whole stay was beyond exceptional. We stayed here for a wedding on Seneca Lake. The history of the place was very interesting and informative. The atmosphere was remarkable, quiet, unique and serene. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Owners, Jean and Mike, were wonderful people to meet and talk to. The Brunch was unique and delicious. Very clean rooms in the whole place.

Pleasant Escape

Jean and Mike were wonderful hosts. The warmth of their personalities matches the charm of their historic home. We stayed in the Cayuga room, which has high ceilings and a modest amount of natural light. The furniture arrangement felt slightly... a desk or other table surface where one could write or work on the computer would go a long way. Brunch was delicious and generous. The hosts have excellent knowledge of the area and positive relationships with local businesses, so we made use of several of their vintner dicounts. Please note that guest rooms are accessed throughout the stay, and if you would prefer not to return to your room to find your personal items rearranged and moved, you may need to let the hosts know. The only factor that slightly detracted from our stay was the level of cleanliness. In additon to leak residue on the ceilings, debris around the edges of the room, spills on the carpet, and long-dead bugs, we also found used hair ties and water bottle caps on our bedroom floor in front of the chairs, indicating that the room isn’t thoroughly vacuumed between guests. Overall the stay was comfotable, and we were well atrended to throughout our stay. We hope to be back some day!

Jean and Mike are delightful😊! The property and home is beautiful! Her cooking and sourcing fresh foods was out of this world. Breakfast was brought to our room which had a beautifully arranged dining area. Everything was planned and provided for us without needing to ask (extra toothbrushes, water bottles, towels, every kind of tea and coffee imaginable with the in-room Keuhrig, coupons for local cidery, vinyards and restaurants, etc). The rooms were huge and beds were comfortable. The entire property was impeccably restored by our hosts. The fire pit was all set up when we returned from dinner, and plenty of wine was offered. We stay at a lot of bed and breakfasts, and this was by far the best place we have ever stayed! Can’t wait to return, and tell all of our friends and family!!!

A Perfect Treat

From the moment Jean and Mike welcomed us into their home to being farewelled 4 days later, we were treated to an exceptional stay. The bedroom was large and airy, cold drinks and snacks were available and the bed was was very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing - each day was different, fresh healthy, and often homegrown ingredients were used, and the presentation of the food was beautiful. Overall, the attention that Jean and Mike paid to detail, created a very special stay for us.

Beautiful Bed and Brunch located between Seneca and Cayuga Lakes. Very convenient for touring the lakes. The house is wonderful and rooms very large. Clean bathroom and the living area is available for use. Quiet setting in Ovid, not terribly close to good restaurants, but just plan for that. There are plenty in surrounding towns. Jean and Mike are so kind and generous. We really enjoyed talking with them for the short time we were there. Highly recommend this B&B!

We went to the area to attend the Senecca Falls Festival and so lucky to have stayed at the Tillinghast Manor. Jean and Mike were the best hosts. The manor was breathtakingly beautiful historical home, exceptionally decorated, comfy beds, delicious breakfast and delightful conversation with the hosts. The amenities were second to none.

Mike and Jean are very gracious hosts. If you are in the area for wine tasting be sure to let them know so they can share some tasting coupons with you! Those saved us a ton. Breakfast was so good and different each day. Our room had the most comfortable bed!! We would love to stay here again next time we’re in the area.

This is an historic home kept in meticulous and luxurious condition, including the gorgeous grounds. The owners have thought of every detail as far as what a traveler might need and also provided lots of modern extras to contol temps, security and media options. Breakfast/brunch was beyond belief, everything fresh and delicious. Definitely not the standard b&b fare. Hosts were friendly, helpful and easily reachable if needed. A real find in the Finger Lakes.

Roosevelt Room

Mike snd Jean were wonderful hosts. The breakfast set in a table outside your room was bountiful, delicious and 5 star. The Roosevelt suite swallowed us up when ready to go to bed. The Hannah room made you feel like home, cozy, full of snacks and drinks plus a huge tv. The house is beautifully decorated. It’s a great B & B. You will be lucky if you meet Kyle, Jean’s son, funny!

We enjoyed our stay last weekend. Our room was nice and fridge was stocked, coffee in the room along with snacks. On Saturday owners brought up a homemade pecan coffee cake and some strawberry croissants Vwry clean and beautiful house. Maybe next time we go we can enjoy brunch at the inn, because of covid they couldn't do that, they definitely are covid aware . Nice touches and decor. We would go back to this Inn

You will not be disappointed staying here. The room is spacious, the bed was ridiculously comfortable, the bathroom was modern and clean, and we sat by the fire pit outside in the evening. There were so many thoughtful touches including chocolates by the bed, stocked mini fridge, snacks, and plenty of water bottles with filtered water. We will be coming back!

What an amazing stay!! I was on town for a dog show. The hosts selected dog themed wine glasses, coffee mugs, and a fresh floral arrangement with a puppy! The fridge was stocked with any imaginable beverage and wine provided. There were chocolates in my room and truffles on the bed. Any amenity I wanted was already there. Since I was up early each day for the show, I didn't make breakfast. The hosts were kind enough to ask if I wanted something at night and left dinner in my room that evening. By far the best hosts I've ever had. Highly recommend!!
