The cosy living room features a welcoming wood burner, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The spacious kitchen/diner is fully equipped and features a striking kitchen island with a fascinating history. The wood used to build it was rescued from the Caledonian Canal, where it had been submerged for 100 years.

The cottage is located within a working estate that forms part of a larger area spanning an impressive 114,000 acres. It offers a wealth of sporting opportunities, including fishing, stalking, and shooting, providing guests with the chance to fully immerse themselves in traditional Highland pursuits.

Sherrabeg Cottage is the perfect base for exploring some of Scotland's most breathtaking landscapes and attractions, offering a mix of adventure, relaxation, and natural beauty. Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast or simply looking for a peaceful retreat, this area has something for everyone.
As cold water swimming continues to gain popularity and health and wellness remain top reasons for travel, Sherrabeg is excited to introduce a wood-fired sauna. Hiking enthusiasts will relish the unspoiled wilderness of the Monadhliath Mountains, home to red deer and golden eagles, while the cascading beauty of Pattack Falls offers a peaceful woodland escape.

Just a short drive away, Aviemore and the Cairngorms National Park open the door to countless adventures. Hike to the summit of Cairngorm Mountain for sweeping views, or enjoy winter sports when the snow falls. Nearby, the Highland Wildlife Park offers an up-close look at animals like Scottish wildcats and polar bears. Relax at the sandy shores of Loch Morlich, where you can try water sports or explore forest trails, and discover the Rothiemurchus Estate, an outdoor playground with activities like pony trekking, quad biking, and clay pigeon shooting.

An hour's drive north takes you to Inverness, the charming capital of the Highlands. Stroll along its riverside paths, explore the Victorian Market, and take in the views from Inverness Castle. A visit to nearby Loch Ness is a must, where you can search for the legendary Nessie and explore the atmospheric ruins of Urquhart Castle. For a deeper dive into history, Culloden Battlefield offers a poignant experience at the site of the last major battle on British soil.

To the southwest lies Fort William, a haven for adventurers and nature lovers alike. Ascend Ben Nevis, the UK's highest peak, or take a gentler approach with scenic walks in Glen Nevis. The Nevis Range Mountain Resort offers panoramic views via gondola rides, while the Jacobite Steam Train, famously featured in the Harry Potter films, provides an unforgettable journey over the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Don't miss the Glenfinnan Monument, which commemorates the Jacobite uprising and overlooks the stunning Loch Shiel.

Closer to Laggan, Dalwhinnie Distillery invites you to tour one of Scotland's highest distilleries and sample its smooth single malts. The historic Caledonian Canal and the Great Glen Way offer opportunities for walking, cycling, or simply soaking in the incredible scenery.

The Highlands are a haven for anglers, and Laggan is no exception.
