A disgrace

I booked the hotel at 9 in the morning on 3rd July, I found out after I booked it that they charge extra money if you check in later than 20.00, I told them it could be after midnight that I could be there, they then proceeded to double the extra charge, this really annoyed me so I wanted to cancel my order, when I tried this nobody would reply, this was disgraceful practice from a so called hotel firm, I don’t know how they got on Hotels.com in the first place, I still would like to try for a refund as I know I’m entitled to it, I have the proof of there refusal to reply as I sent a number of messages on the day, and from there Facebook page I see I’m not the first person this has happened to!!! This was absolutely disgraceful from them!!!!!!

Avoid this place.

Impossible to check in. Some reason different location than on google maps. When I checked in I wanted to shower but there was no hot water. The bathroom has black mould. The bed slats that support the mattress broken multiple times during the night. There was loud rap music playing until about midnight from somewhere in the building. It’s close to a Main Street and you hear everything. I had better experiences at a 12-dorm hostel. Only thing good is that it’s close to the underground station

Perfect location for London Stadium

Very happy with my stay at Layton Rooms over weekend! Room was clean and modern with a big comfy double bed, single wardrobe, draws, tv, coffee/ tea facilities, hair dryer and towels. The bathroom which was also very clean was shared but never met any other guests had a bath with shower. Checking in was quick and efficient, had a phone call on a day to arrange it when suitable to me. Staff lovely and helpful - sent me a link to close by car parking facilities and explained a little bit about buses and trains. We choose off road parking because it was Saturday- Sunday and it was free which was a massive bonus as we literally parked outside Leyton Rooms! Cash machine opposite the entrance on the other side of a road. Underground 1 min walking distance for only £3 return to the London Stadium and many shops near by (local shops, few restaurant, pubs and take aways). Alternatively Uber/ Gett to London stadium for £12. What made it also a good hospice was a kettle filled with water ready for our arrival. Checking out even quicker and warm fairwell from staff :-) came to attend Beyonce concert at the London Stadium andcould not ask for better location!

Not too bad / good

We chose Leyton Rooms due to the location. Only spent a few hours in our room after coming back from friend's birthday party. We could smell cigarettes but I'm not sure where that came from. The bathroom/toilet is shared which makes for a very interesting experience. Over all , for the price it was clean and tidy. However, I would not stay there for longer than we did. Oh, and make sure you don't knock on the door of Leyton House! It's the wrong place. Where you are going is just a regular looking house with no signs on it. Look our for Best Fried Chicken. You will be opposite. Make sure you get them to give you the house number beforehand. We forgot to do that and it only added to our trip :)

Moje wrazenia

Niestety pierwsza potyczka była z adresem, nie było w rezerwacji podanego dokładnego adresu, jedynie Leyton House. Na miejscu okazało sie, że żarówka od lampki przepalona, właściciel obiecał wymienić na dzień następny, nie doczekaliśmy tej chwili. Może drobiazg, jednak świadczy o solidności. Drugi problem, pokój który mieliśmy był od strony ulicy, spanie w nocy praktyczne było niemożliwe ze względu na naprawdę ogromny hałas. Łazienka pozostawiała także ciut do życzenia. Jednym słowem zdjęcie wygląda lepiej niż rzeczywistość.
