The bed was the only problem with the room!

The only bad thing I can say is the mattresses were very uncomfortable. Everything else was great. I made a mistake on the dates of our reservations and the guard checking us in made a simple phone call and got us a room. The grounds were very beautiful. We would stay again if we were to travel to this area.

ALMOST PERFECT

This should be an exceptional place to stay. I would have given 5's except for two big problems. First was the poor maid service we had. Our room had a kitchenette which was not stocked upon arrival. Called the front desk and missing items were promptly brought over. Unfortunately, on the next day, our room was not cleaned at all. Again we had to call for the items we needed. I do not mind reusing towels and sheets, but the trash could have at least been removed and coffee items replaced. The other problem were the mattresses. Obviously, children were allowed to jump on the beds as both queen sized mattresses were in terrible shape. This is a beautiful location and most of the staff was wonderful. We would visit again, but would make sure these two problems did not occur again.

Beautiful, quiet, clean, cool and comfortable!

What an amazing place! We didn't have enough time to partake in all of the lovely ameneties, but our room was awesome. EXTREMELY clean, very comfortable. While one review complained of the darkness, but in Georgia in the summer, believe me, this is a positive and not a negative. Our room was cool, clean, and the beds were amazingly comfortable. The bathroom was very large, and the entire place was quiet (but the parking lot was full!). We will go back!

Beautiful, quiet resort

Enjoyed our anniversary weekend there. Rooms could have a little more to offer but they were comfortable and restaurants were great. Peaceful, beautiful resort. Would go back!

Really love this resort

The people working here are very nice, and very responsive. Rooms we've stayed in are scrupulously clean, as is the resort overall. Can tell they're running shoestring staff due to recession, but was not a concern for us because the rate was so reasonable and because anything you want you can ask for and someone happily responds. Very slow during the week, which we liked as was quiet. Livelier on the weekends, as the Atlanta families came in - which we also liked, as a change of pace. Nice family atmosphere overall, and the lake is just beautiful. We do NOT golf, so can't speak to that venue, but boating is a blast on Lake Oconee.

Cuscowilla Resort

We were very happy with our stay at this resort. The suite was very clean and up to date with flat screens and modern kitchen. The boat dock was convenient also for our boat and right in the backyard. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about was there workout facility. Very small and machines outdated. The clubhouse lunch location had bad service. We only went one day . All in all it was great!! and we will be back soon!

Great for golfers not a romantic night out .

This place was close to home, and we could not take a real vacation so we went here for 1 night. our anniversary celebration. The 1 bedroom lodge villa was very very nice with a balcony overlooking the lake. the room was very clean. the Manager Nathan was especially accomadating. this place is great for a group to go to and play golf. The pool was very nice and the resturant had a 2hr happy hour with free hors d'oeurves that was the highlight of the resort. I think its a great place if you play golf. They did have free canoes but we did not take advantage of that. so I hope this is helpful. food was good in their main resturant.

Prefer to Reynolds Plan. (unless golfing in 2010)

Just a beautiful place, but one caveat: was just there in Aug. 2010 and the golf greens are a dried waste. NO one golfing - which is great with us because we just want to be jet skiing, canoeing, playing tennis, riding bikes or hanging by the lake reading. ALL of which you can do right now with no crowds at all. It was amazing. Water clear and cool, plenty to do. Staff was super friendly, with the exception of the Golf Grill. Surly waitress and bad food. It looks like they're operating on a short staff due to diminished golf guests and I can't imagine anyone who really cooks for a living sending out the food we were served (had to send it back). Waterside Restaurant by pool didn't even open until Sunday - again, think they're running on a short staff crew. No better luck at Golf Pro Shop when we went to buy sunscreen. First were ignored, then guy was grumpy. BUT these should be easy fixes once recession eases, and this was a brief dark spot in an otherwise great stay; pool staff are over the top helpful and there are good places to eat 5 minutes away, so we were happy. Absolutely will go again - it's the kind of place you end up taking your family for a week or two every summer for 50 years.
