Overall nice stay

The house was roomy and had everything we needed. The cove was wonderful. The walk back from the water was steep but manageable. The house could use more beach towels. We were not happy with the check in process. The cleaning crew was there until 5:30 pm and the management company was not able to confirm when the cleaning crew would leave or if it was even the cleaning crew at the house. We were unsure where to put trash since there was not a trash can outside. We put our trash in the lower garage, same as the previous renters. Overall nice stay and plenty of room for multiple families

Poorly Maintained Property

Multiple safety concerns on the deck (missing spindles, broken hand rail, black and green mold that was very slick). After loss of electricity, the backup generator did not power parts of the house…specifically the AC unit. The inside house temperature was 86 degrees. We reached out to the property manager, but did not get a follow up by the time we left the property, so no issues were resolved. The bedding on one bed was dirty (something spilled on the blankets), and the dead bugs had not recently been vacuumed off the floor and stairs. Toilets were dirty. We had to let the run for a minute to clean out the dirt in the water lines. There were wasps nests on the front door. The landscape and lake access is overgrown and not well maintained. Wi-Fi log-in was inconsistent. Overall the property seems infrequently used and does not seem well maintained. At a minimum, I would not recommend renting this unit until the deck is cleaned and repaired.
