Host was great!

Arsene was excellent to work with. He met us at the condo and showed us everything. He was super responsive during our stay. Condo is located really close to University of Chicago, where our daughter had a college swim meet.

I very much enjoyed the stay with Arsene.

My family and I had a wonderful weekend visit to Chicago largely thanks to Arsene and his VRBO home! The property was easy to access and the instructions for entry were clear and very helpful. The amenities in the property, such as kitchen and bathroom, were clean and had everything we needed, such as utensils, towels, and bathroom toiletries. The kitchen is brimming with spices (however, the salt container was empty). The apartment is very secure with multiple locked entrances, which the keys were clearly defined by Arsenal for their respective doors. As a couple extra notes, we did see some cats under the cars in the gated parking lot. The cats were friendly and not aggressive, although we did have to watch out for them as we crossed the lot and entered the car. Also, the heating in the apartment is remote controlled by the owner, which wasn't ideal since I did not want to constantly bother Arsene to request a change of temperature in the apartment. It would be nice to be able to control the heating manually, but I understand that for safety reasons it would be best if the renting tenant does not blast the heating when outside of the apartment. Other than the lack of manual heating control, the apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed for a fun stay. The TV worked well and the apartment was well secured with multiple locked gates. Overall, I very much enjoyed the stay with Arsene and would recommend to a friend!

Cozy and comfortable

It was a beautiful condo. Very clean and cozy. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. The owners were very nice people and helpful guiding us in the right direction around the area. They make it a very safe place to stay. Would definitely recommend staying there!

The neighborhood isn't the best but you are very safe within the gated area of the apartment. We didn't have any issues at all. Our host was very attentive and in daily communication with us.

Beautiful interior, very attentive host- easy to catch public transit!

Arseńe was a great host who responded to any questions or needs we had promptly. He made sure to be there at check-in to give us a personal tour to show us where everything was- such as the pods to the laundry, or how to lock the patio door, or how to operate the shower head in the master since some folks have had issue with that in the past. He also left a detailed binder with instructions, and sent a message ahead of time with detailed instructions on entry and some house rules as well. The pictures of the interior are accurate- it’s very beautiful inside, although the themed rooms are not really themed as the sports teams- more so just labeled on the doors, with one decorative sports team piece inside. But it kind of makes sense since that wouldn’t match the rest of the decor on the house anyway. The bus runs right outside of the condo and is a straight shot to downtown Chicago. But it’s not far from the train either. I highly recommend this as Ubers and Lyfts cost us a pretty penny the first few days! We had no issues with the neighborhood, and were directly across from the park, which is massive and gorgeous! Promontory Point is close by and I recommend that for a lake visit over Navy Pier- it’s beautiful, less crowded, and you can walk right up to the water. Hyde Park is close by with restaurants and shopping. Heads up- midway airport is closer! It will take you anywhere from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours to drive or Uber from O’Hare airport depending on traffic.
