Beautiful views anytime of year from every window. From lazy summer days kayaking down the river to bundling up and hitting the snowmobile trails in the winter and all the beautiful spring and fall colors in between this fully loaded cottage is just what you’re looking for! Great location to get you where you want to be! On the river. 1 mile away from Lake Superior. 20
minutes away from Pictured Rocks. Waterfalls all around the area!

House in AuTrain, Mi (UP) - A place to stay
Great Location for exploring the "U.P." centered between Marquette and Grand Marais! Had what we needed. House was oddly configured and has not been updated yet. Looks like it has a new roof and exterior, but interior old, but functional. Bathroom was small and lighting poor. Bed was very comfortable, however, all the other furniture was not as good. Kayaks on site, but not easy to transport from outside house down to the private dock. Dog friendly, which is not always easy to find. Would stay again.

Loved the location
We totally enjoyed the river behind the property. We kayaked right off the dock, watched other kayakers float by, listened to birds. The house was close enough to Munising to experience all it had. And also not too far from Marquette. Lovely!

Deceiving
The outside needs some TLC, sitting on the deck wasn’t an option. There is no AC and the majority of the blinds are busted so you cannot open them to open up the windows. Bring your own towels as the ones there are stained and rough. Also recommend your own TP, unless 1 ply is your thing. You’re also expected to clean the place before you leave, washing windows, vacuuming, etc. The tv was a joke, there was never a network connection for you to even watch it. Definitely not worth the money, we ended up packing up and leaving early.

Great place to relax and enjoy area
The house is on a bluff above the Au Train river. It is a nice quiet spot. The interior and furnishings are very nice. They have kayaks that you can use. We kayaked up to Au Train lake which was very nice. The beds are very comfortable. The two lounge chairs and couch look inviting but unfortunately the cushions are totally shot so not very comfortable ( our only complaint). You can get to many public access beaches very easy from here and Marquette and Mussining are within easy distance. Loved having washer and dryer to use.

Wonderful Getaway
Great little cabin for us and our two dogs. Good location near munising, short drive to marquette and grand Marais. Communication with the owner was prompt. This place had everything we needed, will definitely be back!

Spring break 2024
We really enjoyed staying at the Treehouse in Au Train. It was such a beautiful home and so relaxing. We stayed for an entire week and we didn’t want to leave! Some of the things we did during our stay was fish off of the dock, hike to a couple of beautiful waterfalls, enjoyed The dog patch in Munising, and watched for Burt (a beaver) during sunset as he headed back to his den after a long days work. Hopefully we will be back to the treehouse again this was definitely our favorite Vrbo that we’ve stayed in.

Weekend waterfall adventure
The house was warm and cozy with a nice view of the river. I enjoyed looking at it while drinking my coffee in the morning. The house was fully loaded with everything you might need. There was even a cupboard full of games, books and puzzles which was a nice touch. There are a lot of waterfalls in the area to go exploring and a grocery store not far. I will definitely be staying again!

Cozy cabin for local adventuring
The property is a little worn, but clean and cozy. The shower is small, but the water is hot, there's a good wood stove, and plenty of fun things to do in the area. Would return.

Fantastic Vacation Rental
We stayed at the Treehouse for just short of a week and loved it. The home was clean, easy to get to, and an easy driving distance to many of the hikes we wanted to do. The driveway was long enough to fit our full-size truck and a 17' boat in it.

Great Location
We've stayed in Au Train before, and this house was perfect for our family of 5. Beds were extremely comfortable. River was nice to relax by in the mornings with a cup of coffee. Beaches are nice. Au Train falls is worth viewing. House had all the amenities. Camp fires at night were nice too!

Tree House on the Au Train River
This is our third time staying at this property and we keep coming back because it is always clean, the owners provide boats for you to use and it's location is impeccable in relation to surrounding attractions.

Treehouse review
The property was overall ‘as advertised’ , except for the closeness to the road. The property had a lovely river front location with river access. We enjoyed the close access to the Lake Superior & Musining. We did feel, however, that a few maintenance issues should have been addressed ( door wall in master bedroom with out screen ( it was leaning against the house in the back), closet door in second bedroom missing and cleanliness on the outside of the property. Overall we enjoyed our stay and loved being ‘ in a home’ ….. it was a perfect place for mom( grandmom) daughter & grandkids to share 4 days together.

Great place to stay
We loved the property. We spent 5 days there while exploring pictured rocks. The back deck overlooking the river was great and we grilled out there almost every night. Mosquitos were terrible but easily remedied with a thermacell. Would definitely consider this property again on our next visit.

Comfy Cabin
The location was perfect, as it was a short drive to the Munising. We hiked and snowshoed during our stay. The bed was comfy and we had plenty of hot water. The tea nook with high chairs had a nice view of the river. We had plenty of room for our dogs crates and room for relaxing. We hope to return next winter.

Winter getaway
This is a great place to stay for some winter site seeing, location is close to many waterfalls and Ebans ice caves are a beautiful. It was in the 20's while we were there so the wood stove was amazing after being outside all day. The beds are comfortable, and the views outside the cottage are are fantastic. This is a great place for a couples vacation or a small family of 4 or 5, I would love to go back and enjoy the river during the summer or for fall colors.
