Our hostess, Anna, was by far the best, most accommodating and communicative of all time. She was right there when we arrived and helped us to get settled in and answered any questions we had. The home is extremely clean (again Anna the super hostess) and everything anyone would need is provided. The location is by far one of the best anyone visiting Amsterdam could hope for. As noted the stairs are steep but that is one of the many things that makes this stay something to cherish and remember. Highly recommend and when I do return to Amsterdam I will definitely hope to stay here again.

The location of the spot is unbeatable. We were able to walk everywhere within the canal area and beyond. We did Uber to the property from the main train station and it was very easy to get a ride. The property is very clean. The view is amazing- we would sit with the front windows open and just watch the world go by in the mornings with coffee. The stairs inside are steep, but there aren’t many and it adds to the charm of the property. Managing check-in and check out and everything before it was very easy.

Great place and location. Short walk to much of what we wanted to see. Tram is a few minutes away. Note there are tight circular stairs to get to the living and then bedrooms. Anna was great in helping us carry them up. And tbh we left a couple bags in the entryway (totally safe and locked). Overall we had a great stay and would book there again.

Amazing location and property

We spent several days at the property and loved every minute. The location is perfect. Central to restaurants and shopping and right on the canals. It was quiet and shady. The house is very cute and the host and property manager were very polite and helpful. It was nice to have a washing machine and the beds were comfortable. This is the perfect place for a family stay.

Perfect stay in Amsterdam

My husband and I traveled with our two daughters, ages 22 and 24. We arrived on an early international flight and the house manager was very accommodating, allowing us to drop our bags early. The location could not have been better, located on one of the most beautiful streets overlooking a canal. We all enjoyed drinking coffee in the family room together and taking in the view. The apartment was very clean, and had everything we needed. We would very much like to visit again soon!

Amsterdam get away

This apartment was fantastic! Located in a wonderful neighbourhood. Gorgeous apartment, well furnished, very clean. The owner was very responsive. The manager was very helpful and warm. I will definitely stay here again.

Perfect!

Sonnenberg Canal View was absolutely perfect in every way! The house was clean, beautiful, comfortable, and in the perfect location. It was so easy to get a bite to eat, catch a tram or just wander the lovely streets to shop or just explore. Wytse quickly responded to any questions that I had before our trip. Ania was so helpful, warm and welcoming once we arrived. I would highly recommend this rental, and would not stay anywhere else in the future!

Canal stay with family

The four of us had a fantastic stay! Our host was easy to contact and was very nice, helpful and informative. As with most European private accommodations, there are stairs. One set up to the unit and one more to the second floor where the bedrooms and full bathroom are located. Even though the stairs where narrow, they were easy to navigate and the hand rails were extremely sturdy. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The shower is a little short (I'm 5'10") but still very nice and the shower head is also a handheld. The host provides shampoo, conditioner and soap on a wall dispenser. All were good quality. The living room had a TV (we never used) and a great seating ledge where we could sit and watch the street and canal below. It is a great location with good restaurants and a metro stop close by and central to the main sights. We give this stay a big thumbs up!

Amsterdam Getaway

Great location, clean, and in a safe neighborhood. The photos in the description should give you a good feel for the property. The stairs are a bit steep, but we expected that. The beds are firm and comfortable. Highly recommended for both adults and families. If you want to be on the canals and within walking distance of the city center, this place is for you.

Holiday in Amsterdam

Wonderful stay and perfect location. The host was wonderful and very responsive! Two bedrooms on the top floor and one with twin beds. Spacious living room. In the heart of it all.

Perfect place for a long weekend in Amsterdam

Our family (2 adults and 2 kids- 8yr and 12yrs) visited Amsterdam for a long weekend and had the good fortune of staying at this beautiful house. Immediately off the canal and centrally located- this place was a perfect home base as we explored Amsterdam. The house was extremely comfortable and well equipped. Anna and Wytse were clear with all communication and provided some helpful information about airport transfers, local restaurants, shops, etc. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the city.

Great VRBO. We had everything we needed. The rack of maps and guidebooks helped a lot. Lots of local construction work in early AM made sleep a bit difficult. Location was perfect, able to walk to all museums and attractions. Overall we loved staying there.

Charming Apartment in 400-year-old House

The Sonnenberg is a beautiful, centrally located home on Herengracht, arguably the most elegant street in Amsterdam. The apartment was perfect for my 20-something niece and nephew, along with myself. Two bedrooms on the top floor, one with a queen bed and the other with two twins, joined together by a Jack and Jill bathroom/shower. There is a tiny powder room on the landing by the living room and dining room. The spiral stairs are VERY steep and narrow! You need to be in good shape to walk up the two flights of stairs to get to the bedrooms. Bottom line, it is a wonderful apartment, in a fabulous location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Great apartment, Great area!

From the moment I booked the apartment until I left both Wyste and Ania answered questions very quickly and were so attentive. It is in what I consider the best part of Amsterdam to stay right along one of the beautiful canals. My son is living in the city so I will definitely be back!

Amsterdam Dream

Incredible apartment. With my wife and parents, we were initially skeptical of the single shower in the apartment, but it worked out fine. What an absolutely fun apartment and the best location in Amsterdam.
