This spacious apartment overlooking the beautiful Brouwersgracht canal near the jordaan is certainly unique, we have a big family bedroom with space for maximum 4 persons & a bathroom. We live upstairs; we share a hallway, where we both have our private entree to our own floors. So the apartment is fully private. Centrally located in the historic center in the UNESCO protected canals of Amsterdam. Suitable for couples & families up to 4 persons. Located on the 3rd floor easily accessible via a wide stairwell. All major attractions within walking distance. As well as the best restaurants, bars, stores and clubs.

Perfect Amsterdam Apartment

This property was the highlight of our trip! The apartment is beautiful, spacious, clean, and has everything we needed. The host met us when we arrived and showed us around. He was wonderful.

Beautiful location and view. Place needs work.

The apartment is located in a wonderful neighborhood with restaurants and several grocery stores a few minutes walk away. The view from the living room of the canal is exactly as depicted, fantastic. However, the overall feel is dingy. The place had not been cleaned. Food debris was under the couch. There was a toenail clipping on the rug by the couch. The couch fabric also seemed dirty. The kitchen faucet is loose and moves about. The microwave oven was dirty inside. The lighter for the stove was empty. The shower door doesn't stay in its track and even when it does, there's a 1/2-inch gap between the closed doors. The bedroom drapes were unhooked and too high to reset without a ladder. As expected, the apartment is three flights up. The interior stairwell was filthy, with leaves from last fall all over the ground floor entrance and up the first two flight of stairs, along with cobwebs. Walking about the apartment in our socks left them darkened with dirt.

Anniversary in Amsterdam.

The property was fantastic. The location is perfect. A 10 minute walk to Central Station. Right next to a key tourist shopping district ( Haarlemstat) and very close to both a regular supermarket and a high end organic one as well. (Think Whole Foods). Great space in the apt. Big family room and everything we needed in the kitchen. Host were great and very responsive. Would rent this again!

Great apartment in the perfect location

The apartment was in the perfect location, centrally located to everything. It was well equipped and must larger than we expected. Our stay was over King's night/day which meant we were able to enjoy the celebrations from the front of the apartment overlooking the streets and canal. The bedroom, which was located at the back of the apartment was extremely quite, given the celebration noises from the surrounding areas. The lighting and mirror height in the bathroom was not the best for those with older eyes and vertically challenged, though this was a minor issue. Overall our stay was excellent and we would definitely recommend this apartment to others.

Super Wohnung mit Amsterdam-Feeling

Sehr schöne, Wohnung für 4 Personen in toller Lage in einem Grachtenhaus. Alles zu Fuß gut erreichbar, Bäcker und Läden alle direkt da. Check- in völlig unkompliziert und sehr freundlich.

Views, yoga and a beautiful town

Before you do ANYTHING your Amsterdam research suggests, first take in the view. Then, walk 1.5 blocks to Haarlemmerstrat. On your way is a grocery store (Ekoplaza) with awesome produce, specialty foods and fresh proteins. On Haarlemmerstrat you’ll find pubs, bakeries and restaurants, vintage, wine, cooking and gift shops and the best frites in town (Oma’s). Jesse and Mike’s clean and spacious (room to practice yoga!) apartment has mesmerizing views, coffee, a big frig/freezer, a well-appointed kitchen, a washing machine and lots of closet space. Perfectly located, we never needed to take public transportation. Walking: the best way to see every neighborhood. Thank you Jesse and Mike - you and your place are awesome!

Lovely apartment in an great neighborhood

The apartment was perfect for our needs. Comfortable and well appointed with an excellent view of Brouwersgracht (canal) from on high. Mike and Jesse are fine hosts and have created a comfortable and usable space. Two minor things to be aware of should they be important to other potential guests. 1. The apartment is on the 3rd floor (4th US) with no lift. If stairs are an issue, be aware. Mike was very kind to help with the luggage. 2. While the kitchen is well appointed with cookware, tableware, glasses (including wine and Champagne), and a well supplied Nespresso, there are no seasonings, oils, aluminum foil or cling film. If you are planning to cook, you may need to stock up a bit, at least salt/pepper and oil, but there are 2 grocery stores just around the corner (Albert Heijn and a more upscale Foodmarkt). We would happily stay again.

Beautiful Views

The convenient location on the beautiful Brouwersgracht can't be beat. Just minutes from Central Amsterdam, yet a whole lot quieter and quaint. The view of the canal from the front room is captivating and beautiful. Furnishings are basic, clean, and comfortable. The host, Jesse, was responsive, considerate, and kind. A great choice of accommodation when visiting Amsterdam.

Very spacious apartment with great view and location. One large double bed and one very small double bed in bedroom. We ended with three sleeping in bedroom and one on the couch on living room. Owner responded to any queries immediately.

Perfect spot in Old Amsterdam

The location is absolutely perfect for exploring Old Amsterdam. The apartment was larger than pictures seemed and the view was incredible for the living room windows. Communications was super easy. I would definitely stay here again

Amsterdam Stay

We really enjoyed the central location and the opportunity to stay in such a charming canal house. The house was spacious and well equipped, and the hosts were very helpful. The stairs weren’t an issue for us but anyone with mobility issues might find the flights of stairs challenging. There were no negatives - we were just surprised that there was no shower gel and a few drops of hand soap left in the dispenser on arrival. We ended up having to buy our own and leaving it for the next person. The lounge had a few old stains on it and the bath towels could do with an upgrade. These are just small things, but they make a difference when you are paying a decent price for accommodation.

Wonderful amsterdam stay

Loved the space. View was amazing. Bed comfy. Plenty of space. Clean and convenient. Less than 15 minute walk to centraal station. Be sure to stop at the ekoplaza food market 2 blocks away for groceries.

What a location and what a view

The location allowed us to walk to anything (including the train station) we wanted to visit. The view of the canal out the front window never got old. Jesse was a very welcoming host. The apartment was very well sized for the two of us visiting. We found pastries, cheese, wine and general groceries within a couple of blocks. Thanks to Jesse for a great experience.

Wonderful!

As long as you can scale 3 spacious flights of stairs, you will not be disappointed! My wife and I (early 60’s), found this to be a very centralized location and enjoyed our walks exploring the many neighborhoods. While there are many restaurant options, we also liked the option of preparing our favorite home cooked meals. Another favorite was eating takeout or dessert on the wooden benches overlooking the canal intersection. Especially entertaining was how skilled the local bicyclist’s are at dodging clueless tourists…like us! Our host, Jesse, was also exceptional. Safe travels!
