"One’s initial reaction is to the tiny size of the room. But it is extremely well planned with everything you need and a place for everything you have - unlike many hotels it even has a safe. Everywhere was extremely clean and as we were a “ middle of the building” room there wasn’t a sound through the night. There was a delightful selection of croissants, et cetera, with plenty coffee and orange juice every morning. You can take your coffee and croissant to the top floor where there is seating...

"Bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on. The long pillows and vigorous AC were much appreciated. Fixtures were all refreshingly old-fashioned (a tub with stationary shower head!) but in excellent condition. In-room coffee makers and free housekeeping are endangered species in NYC hotels, so I was delighted to find them here! If you miss the way hotels "used to be" you owe it to yourself to stay here! "I love the Jane! Staff is always courteous and easy. My only complaint is that each floor always has one shower door that won’t stay open after use. Those showers smell because they never air out. Mildew smell is awful compared to the shower where the door is always open. I made this suggestion before but I guess it fell on deaf ears. I’ve stayed on every floor…shows how often I return. ;)) Other than that….I will always return"

"We had a very pleasant two-night stay here. The room was clean, the service was excellent, and the location was very convenient—everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable visit. One suggestion: it would be great to have a mini refrigerator in the room. Our deluxe king room had a well-stocked minibar, but there wasn’t any space for us to store our own items. Other than that, we have no complaints. We enjoyed our stay and might gladly return."

"The hotel staff was very friendly. They made check in very easy. I also appreciated the coupons for discounts at restaurants near the hotel. The breakfast had several options. The location was convenient to subway and a variety of sites, restaurants, and shops. The room was spacious. It was clean. Water pressure in the shower was not the greatest but was adequate. I would stay here again."
