Loved our visits with the Rottie girls as well, they were a real treat. I would recommend contacting host for better directions than google maps. Roads can be a bit challenging. "This is a lovely clean home in a quintessential Tico neighborhood with secure off street parking. Very safe in a very tasteful way. Prettiest bathroom I've seen in Costa Rica. A couple of fans would have been nice in the afternoon. But we had perfect weather so it wasn't too bad really. The location was a challenge at first but then proved to be ideal. I would stay here again."

Has everything you need with a convenient store and local restaurant just a couple minutes walk down the street, Poas Volcano/park nearby and the town of Poas 10 minute drive away (huge restaurant selection, gas stations, supermarket etc.). Can get windy as it's up on a hill so bring ear plugs or white noise app if you're a light sleeper "

Everything was close by (restaurants, supermarket, gas station) plus the neighborhood is pretty quiet which allowed us to disconnect and have the perfect family time. "Villa Serenidad exceeded our expectations! It is a beautiful home and the view is wonderful. We really liked watching the cows and calves next door and meeting Iggy the iguana. "First the good: the home is very clean and fairly updated. There is secured parking for your car. There is an OK Soda around the corner that does fried chicken and hamburgers. There is a nice little bakery next to it and a small grocery store on the corner. All within an easy walk. The not-as-good: there are no fans in the house and it was quite hot. "The owner and care taker are great to work with. The pool area was nice and the area surrounding the house was nice. The only thing that was mildly annoying was that only about half of the windows opened and had screens so if you opened them you would get large moths or other bugs in the house. "
