"Interesting historic property with impressive gardens given the location. Comfortable room and good facilities. Marred for me by an overly complex charging mechanism that seems to apply various seemingly random amounts to your card on a daily basis. "

"Chris was very helpful with directions to various sites and offered good advice. The room was small but was very clean, the AC worked well (unlike the AC at the resort), everything was comfortable and exactly what we expected. Next trip to Death Valley this will be our "home base." "

"Did get a chance to use the pool or spa. Ice machines next to the pool area. Would be nice to have another one in the back. Check in was delayed for 30 minutes. Continental breakfast was decent. "

"This place is very cute and the staff is very friendly and helped us navigate some night time star gazing and next day activities. The room was small and just about all 2 people need for a quick stop after a long hard day. The resturant onsite offered some nice dinner and breakfast options and a surprising amount of craft beer for purchase. Night time stargazing was exceptional. "

"Good location and looks new property. I booked 3 rooms and got three different sizes rooms. All of them are good even smallest one. And they offer free to go breakfast box."

"It is obvious that the owners take pride in the maintenance and cleanliness of the property. The bed was comfortable. It was very quiet at night even with a basically full motel."

"Room was perfect with a little kitchen. I love that they don’t charge extra for pets. It’s convenient to have the little store right there for all your needs."

"The room was huge, all amenities were great. The room was clean, the breakfast was adequate. No complaints here. The only oddity is a $10 fee per room in addition to a $140 charge to dtvenabler. Not sure if that had somethimg to do with our watching the tv. We had to cancel our credit card because of it. So be aware. Otherwise it was a good stay, very comfy bed No elevator."

"At 4:15 my room was not ready and the woman at the counter said, "We're kinda backed up." Finally at 4:35 the check-in itself was handled efficiently but I never heard a simple "We're sorry you had to wait." I realize things happen, but a simple apology would have made me feel that the hotel cares about honoring check-in time."

"very nice and friendly people. amazing service. the room was nice and clean and comfortable. we were downstairs, 1st floor, we heard a little noise from upstairs early in the morning but then settled down. would stay here again and recommend. "
