"Fantastic hotel. Staff were so helpful and friendly, even taking our washing out of the machine for us when we accidentally put on a wash that finished in the middle of the night! Room was western-style but with lovely Japanese touches like sliding doors on the windows. The room was huge - the photos don't do it justice. Breakfast is just tea/coffee/juice and a croissant, but it was a nice touch and there isn't space to offer more. You can buy drinks at reasonable prices in the reception area in...

"Overall great value. Rooms were large, water pressure strong, beds comfortable. Fairly walkable to many temples. Only issue I had was with staffing / service. The one time I had a question, no one was in so I called the phone. Person on the end of the line hung up on me after I asked a few questions. Knocked off a star for that kind of service. Otherwise, good place to stay."
