"We stayed at the Kon-Tiki for 3 nights prior to a cruise. In general, the hotel was excellent, with very comfortable beds and superb overall cleanliness. There were 3 specific things that dropped the rating a bit. The housekeeping staff took our small towel on the second day and never replaced it. The filtered water bottle was refilled, but the filter itself wasn't replaced correctly and I ended up pouring water all over the counter when it fell out. And finally, the sink looks good, but I found...

"The front desk staff, especially the ladies in the morning were so helpful and kind. My husband left his kindle on our flight, and the ladies especially Rae were instrumental in the recovery of the kindle. They took the time to track down and secure the kindle until we were able to get back to the airport. Thank you so very much. The property is beautiful, well kept and welcoming."

"Great location. Within walking distance to ferry terminal and cruise terminal. Close to waterfront- nice area to walk along. Several restaurants within walking distance for breakfast/lunch/dinner. Staff very friendly- alway ready with a smile. Hair dryers not in room but available upon request. Strange thing - could not figure out how to turn off bathroom light so closed door at night. Also , in our room anyways, both the toilet and the bed were so high lol "

"Pension Pare Lodge was amazing. Very clean and friendly staff. The environment at Pare was serene and relaxing. We loved the pool, the chickens and their antics, and the cute dog. I would highly recommend Pension Pare Lodge. "

"The bungalow was very nice. The grounds are very nice. A separate communal fully equipped kitchen and dining area but nothing provided. Lovely swimming pool. There is a fridge, but no tea making facilities in unit. The best pizza just down the road we have ever tasted. Pity we did not have more days. This is a great place to chill out and relax."

"We loved our stay at Vanira Lodge. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. We were in Vai Ora and the views were stunning. We especially enjoyed the hot tub on our terrace and having AC in the bedroom. The only thing that might be an issue for some people are the lizards and small worms that share the space. "The check-in process was quick and convenient with staff on site to assist and provide with information. The convenience of having the store and staff available 24 hours is an extra bonus. "The staff is what made it special. We had electrical problems but they let us use another room’s kitchen until it was fixed. They have snorkels to borrow and other beach toys. The pool is very nice. Our balcony was great where we spent most of our room time."
