"I had a fantastic stay at La Casa Juan Ranas. It was mid October so the weather was still warm and the local area was vibrant. The view from my suite’s terrace, was truly breathtaking - the best view of Alhambra! It was memorable having breakfast on my terrace and seeing the whole of Granada sprawling beneath the palace. "It was a bit challenging checking in because we arrived early. The office is several blocks away and doesn’t open until 10. We were able to drop our bags at the office and wonder the city until checking in. The room was awesome, very clean and modern, quiet and secure. The laundry on site was an added bonus. The hotel and room are spotless and there are many shopping and food options in a short walking distance. "The only coffee available with the room was instant coffee in the room. And our GPS sent us on a wild goose chase to get to the hotel when there were much simpler routes. How would we know that, having never been there before? That’s not the hotel’s fault, but some easy walking directions from the train station would have helped. "the room was lovely and the accomodations very comfortable and clean. The location was perfect. It was up a few flights of very steep stairs - no lift - which was a challenge for us. "

"This place is really about the view to the Alhambra which was superb! The room was big. The bed was “okay”, but the fitted sheet didn’t fit very well and in the middle of the night they kept coming off… we had to get up and try to put them back on. The proprietor gave us very good directions on where to be dropped off by the taxi. It is a walk down stairs so definitely be sure to bring luggage that can be rolled along a rocky/aggregate terrain.
