Upon return at 3 told room was being checked by manager and to have a seat in lobby and would be notified as soon as available. Waited half hour upon returning to desk told room now ready. Questioned how long I would have waited before let me know. Told hotel manager would call me, of course he never did"

"We’ve had our share of iffy experiences with NYC boutique hotels but it was World Cuo and rates were all over the map. The San Carlos looked the best of a lot of unknowns. It was a very pleasant surprise. It was convenient to all the things we needed and wanted to do. The room was well appointed and the staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again."

"I really enjoyed the hotel’s proximity to Times Square and Broadway. The staff is extremely helpful. We really wanted to go to the Rooftop Bar but we didn’t know the staff had to escort you there, our keycard did not work. Great location and upper floors (we were on 53rd floor) are pretty quiet and redone."

"They make the check in a bit unbearable. While the staff was nice they seem to have to jump through hoops to get rooms assigned because it took us standing there almost 25 min to the keys in our hands. Plus the beds pushed together (two queens) was just so odd!!! We expected the RIU to be similar to other properties and this was a let down."
