"Bring an eye mask, the fire suppression system had a flashing light right by the bed. No toilet privacy in loft room but great for a solo traveler. Very convenient to the BART, Muni rail, and F streetcar. Most won't want to stroll the immediate area much, but there is a nice little Parisian cafe that opens at 5am and a Walgreens that opens at 8."

"If you want a classic old school in sf downtown, it s here. My room had classic marble fixtues with a serious commercial toilet. My room was brilliantly lit. The bed was firm just the way i love it. The staff are o polite and old school. The place alive with antiques. They dont have breakfast so who cares? Go to the donut place close by."

"This hotel is the absolute worst. And the high ratings must be manufactured. It is located in the worst of the worst part of San Fran and an unbelievable amount of homeless people right outside the door of this hotel and for several blocks surrounding. This hotel would rate a 2/10 for sure if ratings were accurate.

"The location is extremely sketchy and dangerous. It’s very sad, but there were people injecting needles right next door. From our window we could see it happening. Felt incredibly unsafe every time we left the hotel room. Unsure how this hotel has so many good reviews.
The hotel itself is cute. However, we also received a noise complaint even though we were sleeping. The phone call woke us up, after we had traveled 18 hours. Elevator is also extremely slow."

"This was my first time staying at The Inn, and it was a complete nightmare. After checkout, I was shocked to see a $50 charge on my card for a “missing umbrella”. Something that was never in the room, that I did not take, and that was completely unnecessary on a sunny day.
I spoke with multiple staff members, but each gave me the runaround. I asked to speak with a manager, but management was completely unreachable.
The hotel’s handling of this charge was completely unacceptable. They have no...

"This is a spectacular vintage property that will let you soak deeply in Edwardian San Francisco. Spectacular woodwork, endless cozy vintage reading nooks, and gorgeous period arts and antiques in absolutely museum condition. It’s very large for such a vintage hotel and the space is used magnificently.
This is my new favorite hotel in the city and I’ve stayed in every luxe hotel of note here. The charm, beauty, and deep authentic history make this one the most magical.

"This hotel says that they have a restaurant, bar, room service food and a free bottle of wine om check in. None of this existed. The neighborhood had a large amount of homeless amd drugs. The key card entrance did not work so we had to wait for staff to open. At time there was a sign that said they would be back soon and so we were locked out. Expedia has not made this right yet. "

"Room was clean but small. Bathroom was cramped and very small. It gets hot in the room pretty quickly and takes a while to cool down, even with the window open. Hotel is very dated, the restaurant is not open and hasn't been since Covid. Staff is not very warm and friendly. This place is definitely not worth the price they are charging. "
