"Stayed here with my wife for our anniversary. The hospitality and service were top notch. They are very easy to work with for international tourists. Luggage forwarding was easy to use here as well. The rooms were really nice and spacious. The location wasn’t super close to the shops downtown but it’s a quick taxi ride over. Overall I would highly recommend staying here! "

"Fantastic staff and facilities. Rooms are a little small with not many places to unpack, but are very clean and tidy. Nice coffee machines with capsules provided daily. Shower was fantastic. There is free coffee and sweets in the lobby which is a nice touch and the bar is very nice with great cocktails. "

"Had a wonderful stay at the Miro Kyoto/Calm Castle Nijo Hotel. It's a small hotel located in a residential street. The family room is not as big as typical western rooms but has been the perfect size for me and my family. Try to pack light so you can have space and less of a hassle bringing luggage. They do luggage receiving so there is that option. The rooms are clean and good. The beds and pillows are comfy (not as soft as western standards) and was fine for me and my family. We had a sink...

"Breakfast was fab and the hot spring is great with choices of pool. Kids love the ramen supper and ice lollies. Excellent location. Floor in the room showed stains but bearable. Would definitely recommend."
