"Beautiful rooms, great gym, amazing restaurant"

"I was very happy starting with the neighborhood, the welcoming staff, the quiet elegance of the hotel and the public rooms, and the layout and details of my room. I was happy to wake up in comfortable bed, with excellent breakfast service, and I was happy to be greeted when I returned at night."

"A lovely, atmospheric place very conveniently located to the train station and other sites. Several nooks for curling up with a book if you desire. My room on the top floor was gorgeous and a decent size. Depending which room, you may have to navigate stairs, but that was no issue for me. "This isn't our first time here: We've consistently had problems getting our luggage to the front of the hotel – and the staff just shrugs. At these prices and with such poor service, you'd expect at least a bit more friendliness. And you have to pay an extra 25 pounds per day for room cleaning. Awful! Otherwise: good location, good room amenities, spacious rooms. But: Give your staff some training in friendliness!"

"Had an amazing stay at the Counting House. The staff were so accommodating by taking our luggage in early while we explored the city. Close to all tourist attractions. Booked a dinner for 6 in the gallery above the pub, it was perfect not to mention the prices for the food and drinks were excellent! Will definitely be back!"
