"Alby was very welcoming, our room had the most beautiful view. Everything was clean and tidy. The welcome night cap from the local distillery was a lovely surprise and delicious. The room had everything we needed and we loved it. This place has so much character and we are so glad we found it, we really enjoyed our stay. "

"This place grows on you. Evn though it needs some TLC, everything is there. It has a well set up kitchen (apart from a toaster - please note), good wifi, and the beds are comfie. Even get a little veiw of the harbour. So, for the price point its a 5 star kiwi bach."

"Fantastic place, charming, quiet, Terry a great host/owner; beautiful location 2.5 km walk to downtown Tairua but pitch dark at night, glad I had a reflector vest Basics in place for cooking, TV has Netflix, prime and good channels. Water across the street, complimentary kayaks and shovels for hot beach ( but I was late getting there) Great base to take off in day trips Definitely my go to should I ever return."

"The place is small and lovely! Grant provided excellent information and was so lovely when we meet him. "

"Great place for us to stay for 5 days. Had everything we could possibly need and was warm and cosy. It was in a great location for us as well, and the host had great communication throughout the whole stay. So glad we found this gem!"

"Loved this place, was very quiet and relaxing with the nice swimming area ( river ) for the kids . Lovely Hosts . The accommodation was nice , I stayed in the one bedroom cottage , it had everything we needed . Will definitely go back and I would recommend this place to friends and family . Older style accommodation but cosy and well equipped 👌. "

"The place is quite easy to find. We met Pete up the driveway to the house. We found him very obliging, friendly and informative, great person. The property was even better than we imagined. the house was very clean, spacious, well furnished, all the amenities you could possibly need and amazing views. We absolutely loved our stay and it felt really homely. We didn't really want to leave and will recommend to other friends of ours."

"Beautiful three story house with everything you need. Amazing sea views and walk to the beach where we caught snapper off the rocks. Great facilities and beautiful garden, loved bbqs on the deck with outdoor heater. Bedrooms and bathrooms spacious and beautifully presented. Booking process and stay was seemless, thank you."

"I've stayed here multiple times and the location still leaves a warm and positive impression. Easy access with whatever you need to keep you comfortable, off street parking is always a bonus for unpacking/ repacking. Even in winter you can be warm and cosy as you watch the sea and birds wheeling past. Time it right and you will get to enjoy the sunshine on the ample deck with your glass of wine."

"What a fantastic wee cabin to relax in peaceful surroundings. Has everything you need for a wee break away. Enjoyed the short but sweet friendly visits from Dakota a real treat, and loved watching the kererū, definitely coming back. "
