"It was excellent in many ways and a real gem. However, the shared bathrooms were very far from the cabins if you're someone who needs to go in the middle of the night."

Excellent food with multiple choices and a tasting menu with wine pairings that was perfect each night, a great surprise given the small size of the lodge. Definitely one of my most memorable stays! "2nd time staying here. Overall had a great stay. Spa and Sauna was great as always. Room needs some refurbishing. Always had moisture on the window. Needs some air circulation. My first morning for breakfast I had to wait more than half an hour to get my coffee. And when it did arrive they gave me a wrong type. Breakfast was average too. Overall happy with the stay."

"We stayed at this hotel just two years ago and thought it was so luxurious. I feel this time a little bit of that luxury was missing. Gone was the faux fur rug on the chair that you see in the images, there was no complimentary water (I don’t think I’ve stayed in any 5 star hotels that don’t provide complimentary bottles of water), and thirdly the room just felt tired. The hand basins were cracked and browning around the sink hole. The robes were pretty worn. The bed and pillow selection however...
