"There is construction going on here - BEWARE, you cannot rest in your room during the day.
The check-in is really impersonal, you self check-in, just like shopping in Tescos! No human contact, which is disappointing for a hotel like this.
We only spoke to the staff when we complained about the incessant noise of drilling and banging above our heads.
I finally spoke with the Duty Manager & his Deputy, very polite & apologetic, and received a small discount, but it was too little, too late. ...

"The hotel is situated in a quiet, convenient area, near Buckingham Palace. Very close to Victoria Apollo, where we went to see wicked. It has a unique history, being the place that housed Queen Victoria’s servants. As a history fan, it is incredible to think that my room used to belong to one of these servants. "I liked the garden and being close to the river , but as I was in a wheel chair it was difficult to access the terrace and garden from the hotel restaurant.
There was no view from the window in fact couldn't see out or open probably for security reasons.
On the whole our stay was enjoyable the staff very helpful and kind .
The building very interesting and full of character.

"The place is nice but the service and the respect for guests are below average.
1st they ask for a deposit even after you pay for the entire stay. I found it odd... The deposit they ask for varies per person without reason... Maybe based on the way you look... Then, it takes up to 5 working days to refund your deposit after you leave. Also, be aware that they sell sweets and biscuts at the reception not at the bar, but if you want a biscut with a tea you purchase in the bar, it is not possible;...
