From the moment we tried to check in, the staff was terrible, especially the manager who refused to give us his name when we asked who we could talk to above him regarding our situation. He said “we should be able to find that information online.” He was trying to do whatever to get more money out of us. We booked 2 adults and a king size bed as our 1 year old wasn’t originally coming with us but had to at the last minute. The manager would not let us check into our reservation because our 1 year old was with us and he said we had to upgrade and pay extra for her (to a room for 3 adults) which doesn’t make sense as she’s not an adult. At first he said we needed to add her for security purposes and if we booked directly with the hotel he could add her on but since we did thru Expedia, we had to call them. When Expedia called him directly to add her, he said he wouldn’t accept the reservation change to include our 1 yr old. He wanted us to upgrade to a 3 adults room, which is still a king bed. He kept changing the story and lying to us. We felt so disrespected as guests and reward members for him not honoring our reservation. He also had no problem saying we could just go elsewhere. We were dealing with this in the lobby after a 12 hour journey. On top of that, he wouldn’t let us check in for free a couple hours early as a courtesy even being rewards members (wanted 50 euros extra). His comments to us and overall demeanor was so rude. I will not stay at these hotels again.
