"I found it unfortunately that a hotel with such nice and quality bedding had speakers blasting so loud that our walls were literally shaking and I had to sleep with ear plugs in even though we were on the 4th floor"

"I stayed at this hotel for four nights, and unfortunately it ruined what should have been a wonderful trip to New York. After my first night, I woke up with an intensely itchy rash on both of my arms. The rash consisted of small, red, raised bumps and continued to worsen throughout my stay, eventually spreading to my legs. I've visited New York many times and have never experienced anything like this, so I asked housekeeping whether the hotel's laundry detergent, linens, or cleaning products...

"We liked it. I was a bit shocked at all small the room was, but I know that's part of the Moxy "Charm." But yeah, the room was bare bones and small. It ended up not bothering me. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly. There are expensive bottles of water in the room. DON'T open them. Instead, go to the front county and they will give you free water."

"Clean hotel and basic amenities are there. However, parking is falsely advertised. Discount is also falsely advertised. It is not on site hotel parking and is third party. The parking lot attendants will claim the lot is full although it is not, then quote a much higher price of $95 per day to park. Talking to the hotel staff is useless because their “discount” won’t exist anymore at checkout time. You get two cans of water per day which is barely sufficient. Everything else is paid including...

"There was mold on my bathroom ceiling (I’m allergic), felt like surface level clean. Dust everywhere, toilet paper holder was nearly falling off the wall, scuffs all over the walls, hair in the sink and on the toilet when I arrived."

"Staff was very gracious upon arrival. If you are going to spend time in your hotel room, this is not for you. But if you’re planning to be out and about all day, Pod 51 is perfect. The little cafe is great if you need a quick bite and coffee. Shared bathrooms are clean but get a private room if you’re at all squeamish about wearing shower shoes when showering. Bottom line, this is a great, clean, energetic place but not luxurious."
