Eight unique places to stay inside a large, 10 hectare property owned by an internationally renowned Italian artist and sculptor (the owner lives on the property in the Manor house, a 1500s Florentine style villa). The property park, which hosts many of his artworks and his studio, is a true open air museum.
The town of Monteverdi Marittima with shops of all kinds is about 500 meters away.
The sculptor personally supervised the renovation and furnishing of the rental units, using his favorite material, travertine, for the bathrooms, kitchens, stairs and floors.
On the property, each of the 8 units has its own, private outdoor space. There are also large common spaces and 2 shared pools: one is uncovered, the other has a travertine roof and is heated to 36° using natural geothermal heat. This heated pool makes it possible to swim even during the cooler months!
The furnishings will be updated before the 2026 season, to modernize the 8 units while maintaining the charming use of stone, and the property’s rural feel.
Within about a 45 km radius there are the Etruscan city of Volterra, the medieval village of Bolgheri (famous for its esteemed wines and beautiful cypress-lined road), the Bolgheri Oasis (natural park - WWF Italy), and the Etruscan Coast’s beautiful beaches like Marina di Cecina, Marina di Bibbona and Marina di Castagneto.
Le Querciolaie is ideal if you are looking for a peaceful, evocative place that’s different from the rest.
Guests of the property’s 8 units have at their disposal: large “open air museum” (lawn and woods), pool (16 x 8 meters - depth: 1,40 meters), pool with hot water (the water is 36° upon arrival) covered by a travertine vaulted ceiling (9 x 3 meters – depth 1,4 meters – open all year), large travertine sunbathing area with sun loungers and umbrellas, shower (hot water), Wifi internet, parking within the grounds.

There is air conditioning in all bedrooms.
There is a large, partly shaded outdoor private space around the house furnished with table, chairs and deck chairs.
