The pathway could be difficult for any one with difficulty walking. The walkway is stone and is uneven in places. "The house was as described. Mind you the railroad runs between the house and the lake and trains run often. Even so, the noise was not disturbing to those in the upstairs bedrooms. The downstairs bedroom could you another door, but guests were able to sleep well. "

"We had a wonderful experience at Lil'Kickback! Our stay at this delightful cabin on Elk Creek was in the end of October, 2025 and part of our 40th anniversary celebration. Travelling along the Great River Road from southern Wisconsin, Eau Claire was to be a layover spot as we had planned to take a day trip to the northern tip of the state and visit some waterfalls. Jolene is a superb host! Her communication with us was wonderful. While we were in route, she reached out to check on our arrival...

"Chris was helpful when we had technical issues with the tv.We had a nice view of the river to enjoy. Chris helped us start a fire in the fireplace since we have never used one and there wasn’t any paper or kindling wood by the fireplace. Red Wing is a great place to visit to see fall colors and get apples. "

The host left thorough instructions for access to the house, with just a slight mix-up on entry codes...but the host was very quick to respond and help me get it straightened out.
