"Clean, quiet, and everything we needed! David was also very responsive to the couple of questions I had the first night. Came into town with a friend to hike in Baxter and this was a great place to relax and recuperate. Close enough to any gas stations, grocery stores or restaurants you may need. Awesome overall."

"It was a get away to a quiet place with a lot of unique features. There is a walking path lit with colorful leds, that was fun to stroll. The out house is funky but very clean, a very rural experience. The cabin was very nice, almost like palacial tree house but on the ground. It was warm enough and I slept well too. This is a get away spot, I recommend, part of which what is not there makes it special. Waldon Pond in a field! I could easly spend a week there doing my writing & a artistic...

"This venue supported our first family reunion since 1992 and it was so good to us. Some spent the night very well accommodated. Some day tripped. Staff Molly, Callie and Shannon were very helpful, easily allowing me to change one venue for this larger one. Clean, well appointed with everything we needed and more."

"Wonderful base of operations for our days into Baxter State Park (highly recommended). Wonderful views out over the lake. We enjoyed hearing the calls of the loons in the evening and overnight.Heating the place can be a little awkward (there’s a Heat & Glo) gas fireplace with a heated air fan that serves this purpose (better than I expected) and portable electric radiators for the upstairs bedrooms if needed. There’s no TV and no central air but honestly that’s part of the point - and neither...

"Loved the house and location but you really NEED to put a notification in the listing that the water from the faucet is not drinkable! It is pumped in from the lake. The only place that I found that told this, was in the booklet about the rules of the house. You did however supply a gallon of water in the frig. Thanks for that! I would have been prepared for no drinkable water if I had known in advance by bringing more water or my backpacking filter! There NEEDS to be a sign by the faucets...

"Beautiful waterfront. Having a canoe and two kayaks on property was great for the four of us. Didn’t see a moose though (much sadness). Nice kitchen layout. Baxter state park was only about a 30 minute drive. Host was great and helped us work thru any issues we had. "
