"Our stay at Dallachulish Lodge exceeded all expectations. Dorothy and Ross were friendly, responsive and eager to help. I can't come up with the words to describe how beautiful the setting along the lake was. We spent a week here using the house as a base to explore the Highlands. The location was great for accessing a lot of different areas, and was a very quiet refuge to return to in the evening. "We were overwhelmed by this stunning house. It was large, roomy, comfortable, extremely gentile, and was surrounded by beautiful property and views. This is one of those out of the way places that you would never find on your own. For me, staying in a classic manor house like this gave me the chance to live, for just a few days, the way I imagine British nobility live when they visit the countryside. "This is an excellent house in a beautiful area. We had 15 guests ranging from 4 to 79 - the accommodation was perfect for all of our needs…it was warm, clean and comfortable. "Four of us (mum, dad and two adult sons) stayed for a week here. It proved the perfect base to enjoy the area. The house is quite small, as per the description, but it had everything we needed and the most stunning views across the bay. The light changes constantly and if you paint, bring your paints. Turner did and it’s obvious why!! Oban is within very easy reach for shopping, meals out, trips to the islands, the lovely Ganavan Sands and more. We had such a great time and we’d do it all again...

"We could have spent all our time sitting in the lounge or out in the garden enjoying the fantastic views of the islands. We were lucky with weather most of our stay so views were stunning. Only downside was the picture windows in the lounge had trapped condensation on them so the views were restricted somewhat by that. Enjoyed the walk up the hill behind the house most mornings. Great day trips to Mull, Seil and Easdale. Highly recommend the Smiddy cafe in Lochgilphead for coffee/cakes and...
