Macqueville and the nearby villages are very quiet and we experienced the slightly unreliable hours of the village shop and restaurant. Booking there is essential. "We had a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing fortnight. The gite is spacious, very clean and comfortable with everything you could need - a real home from home. Lovely pool which we used almost every day. Situated in a small hamlet but only a short drive to the nearest shops and plenty of places of interest a little further afield. "The farmhouse and cottage were perfect for accommodating our group of 11 people comfortably. The house was clean, spacious and nicely furnished with excellent cookware available to use. The pool is a perfect size and temperature for relaxing and playing. The games barn was enjoyed by the teenagers in our group. "Lovely overall 10-day stay with our 2 families in this beautifully decorated and well appointed house; plenty of room, comfy beds, fantastic water pressure, amazing social family kitchen with range cooker, fridge freezer and drinks fridge. (Only teeny thing was the microwave wasnt working during our stay).
