"Generally the room was great, it was cleaned well each day. However, it was a bit run down in that there were scuffs and marks all over the walls which at first glance makes you think the rooms aren't clean. My room was tucked in a corner and I couldn't hear anything from adjacent rooms which was amazing. Having the balcony was a nice touch to to get fresh air into the room.
The breakfast was great, lots to offer, although sometimes some items were cold which is to expected I guess at a buffet...

"Very modest but adequate room for solo traveller. Property showing signs of age, needs update. Lovely park across the street but the distance to the Red Line on the subway was too far. Fabulous bakery and excellent coffee but the rest of the food looked unappealing so I did not try it. Checkout at 10 instead of 11 is a real nuisance. Overpriced for what you get."

The hotel uses a centralised heating system with no ability to adjust the temperature per room. During my stay, the room was overwhelmingly warm with absolutely no way to cool it down. There is a Dyson fan provided, but it is simply a fan — not an air conditioning unit — and does nothing to actually lower the temperature. For a hotel at this price point, this is frankly unacceptable.
The room itself is also very cramped. Even for a regular-sized...

"The staff were so nice. However the hotel said it came with air conditioners. The room was stuffy and had thermostat set to 75. I was not able to adjust the temperature and when asked the staff explained the temperature was regulated by the facility. The staff were so nice and brought us a portable fan. All it did was circulate the hot air though. "
