"An older property but refurbished to a high standard. We chose this property as a means of visiting Edinburgh without he hassle of parking our vehicle in town. We took the bus into Edinburgh from Musselburgh. Very convenient. "

"The receptionists and other workers were very welcoming and professional and helpful and accomodating.I dont like the rule of the hotel about you cant bring outside food(cooked) like pizza and food in box etc., into your room.That is the worse rule you can have at a hotel without a proper explanation that makes sense.Was told guests complain about the smell.That cant be.Because if a restaurant is on property,how does that explanation make sense.If one is worried about rats and cockroaches...

"The Scott is a beautiful property, and the staff is incredible! Everyone we talked to was friendly, knowledgable, and willing to do whatever they could to help. We stayed here one night to end our trip in Scotland on a high note, and it did not disappoint. The breakfast was delicious, and they were able to substitute gluten free toast for some of their dishes when we asked. Would definitely stay again if we come back to Edinburgh!"

"Had the absolute best 7 days at the hotel. The bed was super comfy, it was so quiet, in the perfect location and the AC sure was a bonus!! "

"The best thing was sitting in the hot tub overlooking the North Sea & hearing the waves coming in & feeling the fresh sea breeze around our faces while our bodies were warm underwater!!! The evening meal was exceptional, the options, the quality & especially the presentation with taste to match. Breakfast was also lovely. No supplement for the more unusual options & good service too. "The only negative thing I can say is that the breakfast was affected by the worst coffee I have had in a hotel in ages. It was watery and weak and just lukewarm. Both coffee machines were the same poor quality and delivered the same crummy coffee every morning for the four breakfasts we were there. Otherwise, everything else was excellent with this property."

"Our room was very well soundproofed from the road and other rooms. The bed was so comfortable. Surprise extra goodies in the room were appreciated. Delicious breakfast. Great location, walkable to so many things. I highly recommend Market Street Hotel. "

"This has been my favourite find so far. The location is stunning, environment relaxing, the staff are fantastic. I have enjoyed many return visits to dine in the lovely restaurant and to stay. The children feel this is like a home from home and treat some of the staff like family."

"I was very pleased with my stay here, and recommend to anyone looking to stay in Edinburgh. "

"Check in was easy. The staff was very nice. Main reception said we could get something to eat at the restaurant at 11:30 AM - not true. They did not open for lunch until noon. The rooms were spacious. There was a loud party in the private dining / party area. Luckily they got more quiet around 10 PM. Breakfast was good. "

"Absolutely first class in all respects if you are travelling by car. Great parking. Super clean and beautiful rooms. In house restaurant and a pub within a short walk but that is all, since the hotel is located in a residential area. Sets the standard that hotels should aim for."
