Pirate's Cove Condo Assoc. released that the pool work is targeting an Oct 2025 reopening date, completion remains subject to city inspections and weather conditions. (subject to change). In addition, this unit's balcony is closed for repairs / concrete restoration with work to conclude on 9/17/2025 (subject to change).



The Pirate's Cove building has some after effects caused by the previous hurricanes that are not shown in the photos and descriptions which were taken prior to the storms. Per Pirate's Cove management, ongoing building repair and construction are necessary at times. This property is privately owned and managed by iTrip Daytona. iTrip Daytona does NOT manage OR have any control over the Pirate's Cove building (OR) its amenities. However, we are still more than happy to accept bookings if you'd like to stay in our privately owned condo unit!! Please inquire first before booking if a certain amenity is mandatory for your stay OR if you have any concerns of ongoing projects as this information is always evolving by building management. Beach access is available next door at Dunlawton beach ramp. There will be no refunds or credits for the aforementioned issues if applicable. *****



Welcome to Pirate’s Cove! A laid back atmosphere in the heart of Daytona Beach Shores at the intersection of Dunlawton and A1A. The location is within walking distance to a miniature golf course, restaurants, bars, pharmacy and the Sunglow Fishing Pier with Crabby Joes Deck and Grill!



This delightful, newly renovated studio apartment is sure to put you in vacation mode with its care-free coastal decor and ocean front views! It features a King size bed, NEW 49" SmartT.V. with free HBO and Secure/5G Fast Wifi for streaming. Its kitchenette is fully equipped (full refrigerator, 4 burner stove / oven, microwave, coffee maker, cookware, plates, and utensils), table top with 4 chairs and a sleeper sofa (sleeps an additional 2 people). The location is great!! Super convenient to wonderful restaurants, and the complex is adjacent to an entrance to the beach. The unit is exactly as pictured and the one issue we had was quickly resolved.

We didn’t receive the check in email and called about it, the lady working with itrip Daytona was VERY rude to us. Once we got the code to get in the place itself was so well decorated and clean. The studio was stocked with everything you could need to cook your own meals. They don’t have scissors, weird but we did need them a few times but just used a knife lol. The view was great. There is a parking lot between your balcony view and it was under construction so that wasn’t pretty but looking past it, being right by the beach is always nice. Overall, the studio was very comfortable and functioned well for what we needed. Perfect for 2 people. I wouldn’t recommend for a family.

As described!

Exactly like the picture. Furnished and well-stocked; has everything you need for a week away from home. As noted, the room itself overlooks a parking lot then the beach. Ample free parking on site. The pool is currently under construction (aka: no pool, lots of jackhammers).My only suggestion/request would be: more toilet paper and a patio drying rack :)For what I'm sure are a plethora of reasons, the beach has significantly eroded in recent years. People still drive on it but that's about all you can do .... I suppose you could prop up chairs and tan but don't expect a "beach day" in the traditional sense, especially with kids. Bring your own beach towels.Keypad didn't work until about 3 minutes past 3pm.

Reasons for poor rating

The problems started with having to communicate via email with property management if you had any issues. No one wants to sit by their computer waiting for an email response. There were supposed to be 2 property keys to be used to access pool, gym, beach...etc there was only one. There were supposed to be 2 parking passes there were none (threat of car being towed without a parking pass does not create a stress-free environment). Apparently, the maintenance staff was aware of this but no note indicating the key and passes were missing was left for us. It made for a very tense first couple days. We finally received one pass after the first 24 hours, and the 2nd key arrived Thursday afternoon. Days after we had to deal with letting each other in or out of the pool and beach area. The door from the unit to its balcony would not lock. Since we were only one floor above the ground, anyone could climb up from their car in the parking lot just below to our balcony. The electric stove did not seem safe to use as all the heating elements seemed to be loose. Maintenance never responded to our complaint regarding the unit not being secure. I am very disappointed with ITRIP who managed the property mainly because the customer service and contacts for issues are via emai.l. Thankfully, we did not require an emergency maintenance issue such as A/C not working. Satellite TV worked very intermittently. Initial appearance of unit was very disappointing. The front door could definitely use a new paint job!

Sweet and Simple

We were so glad we found this place to stay last summer and we have talked about to return at some point later in the future. It was perfect area where it is not super busy on the beach. The building is little bit older, but the room we stayed in was super clean and very cute decor. It almost feel like I was staying in a little cottage house. It was perfect for family of four. We enjoyed our time at the pool as well. People who stayed was also friendly. We hope to come back soon!

Pirates Cove Stay

Liked the room and location. Beds were comfortable. Pool was great. The main problem with the stay was the cockroaches. Killed 7 of them in s few minutes after coming in after dark and turning on the lights. Last few nights we slept with lights on to keep them at bay.

Room was decorated nicely, liked the large TV. Main problem here is the room was roach infested, roaches in coffee pot, all over counters, baby roaches everywhere, understand Florida has roaches but made the place feel very "dirty" Looks like this use to be a nice place but "run down" now. We basically enjoyed our stay and time at the beach.
