The beds were comfortable, the showers were easy to use and the garden area is beautiful. The ducks charmed our grandchildren and we enjoyed the hot tub. "Excellent property for a large group of adults to explore the Peak District. Six en-suite rooms equally sized so no-one gets the small room! Kitchen/dining area easily accommodates the group and is well equipped. The lounge is enormous and has great views. Loads of walking from the Chapel or a short drive away. Pictures/description of the property can't do justice to the wow factor. Would definitely recommend."

"We very much enjoyed our stay at the Smithy. The location was great & we had fun taking our 1 year old son to Trentham Monkey Forest & Amerton Farm. The only real disadvantage was that all the kitchen cupboards were low down & our son loved to play with them & their contents! "The house was easy to find and only 6/7 mins walk into town ,the house was beautiful the photos don’t do it justice,the hot tub was a clean and hot ; the only down side was it could of done with some sort of lighting outside around the hot tub as we stayed at the end of Oct and it was dark around 7 o’clock ,otherwise we couldn’t fault anything else."

"This property has character and is very close to the centre of Buxton. There are plenty of pubs in walking distance as well as take-out and a Sainsbury's local. We were a party of eight adults and it worked well. Everything was serviceable and good value for the price.
