"I think it’s an okay hotel. They provided all toiletries which is very nice. The rooms are very small. There is no fitness room. The pajamas and slippers were a very nice gesture, but were not comfortable. Pajama material was too thick to sleep in. The rooms were not sound proof. We constantly heart the traffic music."

"Das Hotel hat die perfekte Lage. Die Zimmer sind relativ klein, was ja nicht untypisch ist. In der Beschreibung stand, dass es einen Raucherbereich in der 2ten Etage gibt, dem war leider nicht so. Man musste raus und ums Gebäude rum laufen. Für 2 Nächte (wie in unserem Fall) auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen. Durch die golden week war es natürlich etwas teurer"

"Loved this gem of a place! Our family of 4 stayed in a spacious triple room and it was beautifully laid out and very clean. It was our first time at an onsen so we were a bit nervous, but it’s worth the money and time because the hot spring is so relaxing and therapeutic. Plus the treats and breakfast are amazing! It’s also very convenient for food and shopping as its nearby Kyoto train station. If you want to experience the best in traditional Japanese hospitality and culture, this is the place...

"Our 1st room was great until we stepped on wet carpet that smelled like urine (huge area). Assuming pet (I hope). They wanted to dry it and have me star in that room! NO! Finally got another room. They give 3 coffees in room. After we finished I wanted more, I was told there was a charge. NOPE, I go get some elsewhere and ask for housekeeping to restock for next day. 2 ppl later get back to the room - no coffee refills or amenities- which they charge daily for. Took 3 ppl to get that finally....

"Loved the location and the size of the room was bigger than typical Japanese rooms. This was in Kyoto, but in Tokyo rooms were very small compared to this. I’d recommend Dash hotel to anyone traveling to see Kyoto Japan. Made our experience a whole lot better and first timers in Japan!"

"The foyer looks really classy. Then you get to your room, and it's really below the expectations that the foyer has set. Basically, if you book a standard room, it is unrenovated and extremely, extremely old. Think chips in furniture, some permanent stains, musty smell etc. This hotel also wins the dubious award of smallest room in Tokyo and Kyoto, amongst all hotels I've stayed in. So don't trust the photos for the standard rooms. I believe the comfort rooms and so on are the renovated rooms,...
