"This little gem was a fantastic find off the beaten path in Colorado Springs. I opted to make several reservations just in case we wanted to swap places. The property itself is just breathtaking and beautiful. Plenty of grounds to cover hiking, on a stroll, bird watching. Our first hike we saw wild turkeys, a bobcat nursing her baby, and rabbits. Lots of history and detail in this place. Would definitely return!"

"The room was nice, but the breakfast was not edible and there is no additional food service othee than reheated meals. The coffee was nice. While checking out, there was a clearly drugged (I would assume fentanyl) man in the elevator. I requested help from the staff and he was removed, but he was able to get into the hotel unnoticed by the staff. A less than optimal experience, to say the least."

"The property is in an ideal location with a beautiful view. I stayed here 12 years ago and knew the location was great. The view from the room was wonderful. Staff was accommodating and the grounds were well kept. The rooms could use some updating/remodeling. That’s my only constructive feedback. Otherwise the location is great and we enjoyed the amenities."

"The room was clean, but there was not even a cup in a room with a kitchenette,
No plates coffee machine etc.
Its strange the front desk is closed most of the day , all evenings and on sundays with a large metal shutter so there is no one to communicate with ?
It tells you to slide your key under the metal shutter when leaving not even a secure drop box. It was a fair price for the room. Lots of weed smell around building but its colorado so not uncommon."

"Air conditioning was extremely loud and every time it would shut off and turn on it to wake you up from your sleep was not restful. I don’t think the place has been renovated since the 80s at least that’s what it look like. It’s kind of rundown in the rooms, the main lobby looks super nice and inviting, but as soon as you get into the bedrooms, it’s pretty rundown and especially for $300 a night. It wasn’t worth it."

"Front desk staff were excellent!! Very helpful and informative.
Valet guys - SO AWESOME!!!! Patrick & Mark really are helpful and know how to make you feel welcome, & which direction to head to see the town (even if it is in the alley right next to them) ! I felt these two - especially Patrick, went above and beyond!!
Was a bit disappointed in the coffee staff - 3 or more workers, but it seems only the young lady that had her arm in a sling was carrying the brunt of the work, while others...
