Staff were wonderful! Always smiling and willing to help you find what you were looking for. Only a few language barriers. Amenities were hit or miss. The adults only areas were amazing, it was just a bummer none of the pool areas near the ocean were adults only. The only adults only pool was no where near the ocean or views of the water, but it did have its own bar. It could use more chairs for more people to have a place to keep their stuff while in the water. Stayed for 5 days and never could find a place to sit on the beach. All chairs had towels on them being saved for hours and hours with no one using them, so that was really frustrating for the rate to not get to spend a day on the beach without just popping a towel down on the beach (nothing in the shade was ever free). Spa was wonderful, massage was incredible and it was serene and not overpriced (in my opinion). Food was hit or miss. A lot of variety of cuisine but nothing was put out in the buffet to say what it was (no signs for a majority of the dishes) so it was difficult to know what you were looking at. Felt like it was sold as adults only, but a majority of the place is full of kids. If you truly want a kids free experience you’re severely limited in where that is the case.

Staff were all very helpful, happy, and knowledgeable. Very clean facilities and our swim up pool is something I will miss a lot. The La Pearla bar in the adults only section was amazing and our bartenders (Domingo and Jhoanny) were the absolute best. Beautiful property and beach. All of the À la carte restaurants exceeded my expectations on all levels. Pro tip for others would be to get to the beach between 6-8 am in order to secure a spot. We will surely come back in the future.

I was really excited about this resort, but boy was I disappointed!! First we couldn't book an ala cart dinner for the first 2 nights we were there. Apparently that's standard? So we ate at the walk in restaurants that were mediocre at best. Then about day 2 I guess the maids didn't appreciate me sleeping in, so they did their best to wake me up every morning by phoning, opening the door and turning the light on or shutting off the air conditioner. Then I got blasted by some woman in Spanish for taking the "wrong towels?" Not acceptable Lopesan! Never again. I wouldn't go back if it were free!!

The rooms were spacious and clean. In fact, the whole resort was very clean and well maintained. Lots of restaurants but reservations are troublesome. The buffet food was... buffet food. It was just okay. Drinks were mixed decently. Some bars were better than others. It was very difficult to get a spot on the beach or by the pool. Most of the staff and customer service were subpar. If they were replaced with some people that just smiled once in a while the experience would have been 6 stars.They definitely gave the vibe that they didn't want to be there or help us. Our room refrigerator was broke and we put in TEN requests. Everyone acted like someone was on the way but nobody ever showed. It was SO frustrating to not be able to have a cold drink in your room. I will definitely return to the Dominican Republic and I would return to this resort in a heartbeat IF the customer service/staff had been more friendly. For now... I will find a new resort next time.

The room and swim up pool were great. The grounds of the resort and beach were lovely. Calling this an "adults only" stay is a complete misnomer. There are children literally everywhere. The "adults only" buffet just means a dining room to sit in, but you only sit there after battling through little kids running all over in the same place to get your food. The "adults only" roped off section of the beach is filled with families not watching their children and when you ask security for assistance, they just get you another chair and place it next to more kids. Children running around screaming through the lobby. The staff was good overall, some more friendly than others. I wish, though, I hadn't paid more for adults only as it was anything but. I won't be back.

We stayed at this hotel expecting an adults-only experience, but we were disappointed. While the property had an adult section, there was no real separation, and children were visible and audible throughout. The hotel itself was beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, with friendly staff. Lunch was decent, dinners were great, but the spa fell short of expectations—no aromatherapy, and it felt subpar. A major issue was vendors selling fake goods by the pool—especially Cohiba cigars—which felt like a breach of trust. We complained but received no resolution. On top of that, our attempts to arrange …for a birthday went unanswered, and no one followed up. In summary, while the hotel looked great, the experience was marred by broken promises of an adults-only atmosphere and lack of trust in on-site sales. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

Overall, we had a good stay at the resort, but unfortunately we experienced a very distressing incident with a security staff member named Luis Miguel Suero. My husband and I placed our bag and towels on an empty chair before entering the adult pool. Out of courtesy, we asked the gentleman sitting next to it if anyone was using it. He clearly said no and confirmed it was fine to use, explaining he was alone. The group next to us (triplet brothers) typically occupied three chairs daily, and the chair we used was not being used. Despite this, Mr. Suero approached us aggressively and began yelling at us in front of other guests, accusing us of taking someone’s chair. It was extremely embarrassing and completely unnecessary. The guest next to us was shocked and also reported his behavior. When Guest Services came to the pool to identify him, he continued yelling — even in front of them. The Guest Services representative himself stated that his behavior was completely out of line and unacceptable. Although the incident was reported to the security department, nothing further was done. We continued seeing him working in the same area for the remaining two days of our stay, still behaving rudely. It was very distressing. It is disappointing that someone with such hostility and lack of professionalism is allowed to work in a resort environment meant for relaxation.

You have a beautiful property, but the guest relations and supervisory staff delivered the worst hospitality experience I have encountered anywhere in the world. There was no visible hotel management present during a serious health and safety incident. Our room had bed bugs and visible mold on pillows mattress, and duvet. Rather than addressing these issues professionally and in line with basic hospitality standards, staff attempted to minimize and cover them up. Late in the evening, the guest relations supervisor attempted to force us out of the hotel while they had all of our personal belongings. At that time, I had only a bathrobe with no access to my clothing until they realized we had witnesses. The hotel refused to provide reasonable assistance such as a clothing allowance or timely heat sanitation of our belongings, despite explicitly promising to do so. We were eventually moved to another room more than six hours later. That room was also unacceptable, with visible signs of prior occupancy including used Q-tips, no garbages in the room, and multiple maintenance issues. I have never felt so vulnerable, unsafe, and disrespected as a guest. We initially tried to handle this situation discreetly and with grace. The hotel responded without professionalism, empathy, or accountability. They falsified records and all! This experience reflects a complete failure of guest relations, crisis management, and basic duty of care. They completely ruined our celebration!

This was not the relaxing, adults-only experience we paid for. Customer service was terrible. The reception employee, Luis (adults-only side), was rude, impatient, and clearly annoyed by basic questions about the facilities. The resort app doesn’t work, making it impossible to book à la carte restaurants. We were told everything was fully booked for our entire 3-day stay, so we were forced to eat at the buffet the whole time. This is NOT a true adults-only resort. There’s only one adults-only pool and one bar. The “adults” buffet is shared with the family buffet — only the seating area is separated. All other areas are full of kids. Despite multiple pools and beach areas, you can’t find a sun bed unless you wake up at 6am to reserve one with towels. No policy is enforced. The beach in front of the hotel is very disappointing — swimming is restricted to a tiny shallow area because excursion boats are parked right there. Noise starts at 6–7am with loud staff in the hallways. Security couldn’t handle a drunk guest screaming at 11pm. Room cleaning was very late (2–3pm). Would not return or recommend.

While we believed this was “Adults Only”, it was anything but. They had one pool for adults and over the course of three days (we originally were staying five, but left due to our disappointment) we never could snag chairs (even at 9:30a) so were forced to sit at pools with screaming kids and loud DJs. The food was subpar at best. Breakfast and lunch had very limited options. One coffee bar that had a line anytime we went, all to get a Dixie sized cup of coffee. Alcoholic drinks were over saturated with sugar and cheap liquor. One red and one white wine option, everything else you had to purchase and unfortunately both were unpleasant. And to top it all off, when we asked to go home and after trying to speak to management for 48 hours, the manager informed me I would only get a refund from them for the two nights if I told Expedia my statement was false (I had previously reached out to Expedia asking how I should go about getting reimbursed for two nights and the resort was privy to my message). The manager took a photo of my phone with his phone after I showed him my message to Expedia showing him I “lied” about my statement. Coming from a background in hotel management at luxury resorts, I never in my life experienced such service. To top it all off, we were on our mini-moon and not one person acknowledged it. If you want any sort of relaxation and elevated experience this is not the resort for you. Veronica in Guest Services was a gem and I appreciate her help!

I expected an All-adult experience. I received the complete opposite. Although the property is beautiful it is not exclusive to adults except to a small segment of the property with 1 pool. I was awaken by kids in the hall each day early morning. All the adult activities were on the opposite side of the resort that also catered to children and family. I hope the property changes some things as this place has potential, just wasn’t the experience I expected.

The rooms are all the same, very clean and modern. The staff always wants a tip. Lots of amenities and things to do on the resort but for $1000 a night could have a better view instead of another hotel to look at, it was noisy and the room was very far away from the lobby and restaurants.
