"The property host was difficult to communicate with from the beginning and throughout our stay. The property listing stated a 2pm check-in. We arrived around 5pm and our rental had not been cleaned. The property owner could not commit to when the property would be cleaned and ready for us. Most frustrating was the lack of acknowledgement about the inconvenience or apology for the circumstances. Additionally, laundry is listed as an amenity. The host appeared to be frustrated when I inquired...

"First of all, the location was great. It was walking distance to the beach and the grassy area in the back was great for walking dogs. We do appreciate that pets were allowed. The property needed a lot of TLC. The screen door was broken, the interior doors didn't latch properly so you can actually get locked out of the bedroom and bathroom. There was no top sheet on the bed and the bed seemed smaller than a queen. It seemed like a full size mattress. There was no hand soap at the bathroom vanity...

"The views were amazing from every level and the whole scenery was nothing short of spectacular.This camp was not only wonderful for me to rest, study, and soak in the lake and woods, but it also had all the gear for serious kayaking adventures if I wanted to.The stay was deeply relaxing and rejuvenating. "4 stars as basic bedding and towels were not including at this stay and unfortunately was not expressed prior to arrival but the home was a cute older style home with basic amenities including a bbq grill and beautiful covered porch and deck to enjoy meals! We spent most of the time at the ocean that was a nice short 5 minute walk! Laundry mat located 13 minutes away in town. Would recommend this stay and will come back!"

"Cozy cabin. Beautifully decorated with all the amenities of home. Bed was very comfortable. Amazing views of the waterfront. Enjoyed relaxing by the fire and overlooking the tide come in. Fun exploring the mud flats at low tide. Screened porch was a great place to enjoy meals and game nights without having to worry about the bugs. Convenient location to explore Jasper beach and Acadia. Highly recommend this lovely relaxing piece of heaven."

"Wish we could have contacted the host. One sleepless night because of air in the pipes. No way to turn off the water at the toilet which kept running. No water shut offs in the bathroom at all. Manually repositioning the broken flapper in the toilet after each flush was the work around. I'm sure water leaks into the sub floor because of the broken shower base.Great peaceful location. Appliances where great. Quaint cabin. In a beautiful area. "
