"Great home base from which to explore the island and return to in the evening for the hot tubs and pools. Ocean view from the room was soothing. We spent a couple days in the area, a couple days on the south/west side, and three days on the North Shore. There are so many highly rated coffee/food trucks and restaurants we had to try, that we never ate at the resort. Great owner, no surprises."

"The room could use some updating, but who cares, I was in Hawaii and spent most of my time out enjoying the beautiful island. Even so, the resort was amazing and the ocean and mountain views are breathtaking. If we are able to come back to Kauai, we WILL be staying here!"

"We had a really good experience staying at the Outrigger Kauai Resort. The resort had nice pools, hot tubs, restaurants, bars, and a café gift shop. It was also really nice to walk out to the beach to watch sunrises and sunsets. The resort location was close to almost everything we wanted to do. The room was clean and functional with a great view from the lanai."

"The room was clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. This is a room at a resort with two queen beds just as described, although I felt it was roomier than I expected. The check in was easy with someone at the front desk 24/7, a concierge to help plan outings, a restaurant, several pools (water not heater, but this didn’t bother the kids) and a beach to see sunrises/sunsets from. The lanai faces a greenbelt so there is privacy and the location is such that you can see the water....

"This is an older facility but kept in good shape. The grounds are beautiful, but the rooms are pretty average. Great view of the ocean and pools from our room on the 5th floor. The beach is wonderful for walking but not recommended for swimming due to the coral. If you’re looking for a beautiful location in a relaxing and quiet environment, for a reasonable price, this is a good option. You’ll spend more than double for a room with this kind of ocean view at one of the bigger/newer resorts. My...

"As advertised, but my next trip i will look for a place with more amenities. Microwave 2 floors away, doors slamming at all times day or night. Room furniture was a little shabby, with drawers that wouldn't open. Not a deal breaker but made for a less than 5 star stay."

"This resort is perfect for people wanting a central location to explore the island. 30 minutes to drive to both the North and south shores. The resort is clean and has everything needed to relax and stay put as well- several pools, 3 restaurants and sits on miles of walkable beachfront. All of the resort staff was so friendly and helpful. The host was spectacular with timely communication and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. We’ll definitely be back!"
