Overall great location!

My friend and I wanted to stay in a place close to town and the airport and this was perfect for us. The resort overall was amazing! It was close to the beach which we loved. We loved the room but the AC wasn't as strong. The room is not as spacious but it still worked well for us. Thank you for having us!

Beautiful room and resort, kid friendly

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Kauai Beach Resort. The room was exactly what my family of 4 needed. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the accommodations had just undergone a remodel. The room was very clean with wide plank flooring, an updated bathroom, and the loud AC that was mentioned in a previous review is no longer a problem. My boys loved the pool and slide. The restaurant has a good breakfast to fuel you for the day’s adventures. Mom and dad indulged in cocktails in the lounge in the evening. The owners are very helpful answering questions and responding in a timely manner. We definitely want to come back and stay here again. Thanks for sharing your lovely accommodations.

The hosts where great, quickly responded to my messages. The room was clean. However , the bedding smelled like mildew. The refrigerator made a horrible noise all night long, I had to unplug it.

Amazing Stay

We were beyond pleased with our rental experience. The owners were so quick to respond to all of my pre-arrival questions. The property itself greatly surpassed my expectations. The room, the hotel amenities, the views… it was just lovely! And you really can’t beat the location - close to the airport, but still feels private, and a great central spot for exploring both the north and south sides of the island as well. Would love to stay here again if we ever come back to visit!

Sweet Stay, Communicative Hosts

My friends and I had an awesome stay at Aljosha and Tatiana's place! They offer an unbeatable price for Kauai Beach Resport & Spa - more than a few times less than what you would pay if you booked a room directly with the resort/hotel. Aljosha and Tatiana were very communicative and checked in regularly to make sure all our concerns were addressed!

Kauai Beach Club

The resort property is nice. Check in wad a breeze. The room was good for what we needed. Two full size beds. Pool towels are included but not able to exchange for new ones. You must wash them or have another set to rotate. The AC worked but was a bit noisy. Luckily we had a white noise maker to drown it out. The pool area is great. My kids enjoyed the water slide. The beach access is easy but not good or safe for going in the water. The location of the resort is just a 10 minute drive into Lihue where you have access to all the shopping and eateries. This is a good midpoint location between the Hanelei and Waimea canyon. About 1 jour drive to each.

Variety to suit all ages

Lovely grounds. Several swimming pools, hot tubs, walking paths around property. Some lounge chairs along ocean, which is not a swimming beach. That actually works to the property’s advantage, in my opinion, because those who want a tranquil experience can sit by the quiet shoreline, while more energetic folks used the pools and water slide. The room itself was ok, not great for a few reasons. Only two glasses in room, and hotel would not give more, because of renting directly from owners. When I wrote the owners, they told me to ask at the bar, who would not help either. Also would not replace towels. So to get fresh towels and enough glasses for the number of people who booked the room (I don’t mind washing glasses each day, but would be nice not to drink in shifts) you either need to book through hotel and pay daily resort fee or pay $70 mid stay cleaning, which only addresses the towel situation. If host provided more glasses and towels, this would be solved. Not sure if agreement with hotel management prevents this, as owners are remote, and probably contract hotel to do dishes and laundry. Initially, I told owners I would be happy with the number of towels provided, and we were diligent about laying them out for drying, but due to the high humidity, they never dried, so towels really are an issue if you use the pool. Also, no outside food is allowed in the pool area, so if you don’t want to buy all food at the resort, you need to eat in your room sitting on the bed or use the table on the patio, which only seats two. So this would be a nice place to stay for two people who won’t use the pools much or don’t mind only having dry towels on the first day. Location was very good as far as distance to airport and the excursions we booked, which were tubing and river kayaking. All of the experience not related to the room itself was very nice, hence the four star rating. Communication was good with the owners. They were honest about what the property did and did not provide. I just asked the questions after we were already committed. Hopefully this information will help others make the best decision for their needs.

Girls Getaway

The room was perfect for a girl's trip! I loved that it was close to the pool. Easy communication with owner. All resort activities are available for a fee. Need to rent a car as nothing is walking distance.

Resort was good, know if you rent private rooms at this resort you dont get access to all activities and events, Or the shuttle. The room is outdated and furniture was scratched and worn. Resort was great with great amenties though. You need to rent a car if staying in this location it is not walkable to anything and beach is not swimmable.

Great Host/Inadequate Accommodations

I want to start off by saying that the host was incredibly responsive and helpful all throughout the week long stay. The star rating I am providing is due to the room itself and the overall experience with this property.. We had 4 adult guests stay at this property. About one month or so from the initial booking time we were informed that the unit had been sold but that the new owners were willing to rent the unit to us for the same dates and price. When we arrived at the hotel check-in was easy. When we arrived to our room to say we were disappointment was an understatement. The beds were doubles and not queen beds that were listed in the original listing (they are correctly listed in the new owners listing), the mini fridge in the room was dirty, there was hair everywhere, and the countertops were sticky and had food all over them. The host was very gracious and offered a refund of our cleaning fee. Multiple times throughout the stay the AC acted up, with it making odd shaking noises on our last night, and the plug in fan in the closet did not work. When renting a unit from an owner you get treated completely different by hotel staff than if you were booking a room directly through them, and the treatment was not in a good way. The room only had 4 bath towels and 4 beach towels (very thin and small ones) and you had to wash them yourself at the on-site laundry facility, (which was constantly having issues and maintenance showing up). You could not exchange the towels for new ones through the hotel. The carpet in the room constantly felt damp in places, and we noticed mildew on the walls/door to the adjoining hotel room. We also noticed that the carpet in the closet had been ripped up, to which I suspect was due to a potential AC leak. All in all, I would not stay in this unit again and would most likely book directly with the hotel, if I chose this property at all in the future.

Smelly , nosy room

The room was smelly from the carpet. The AC made very nosy sound on and off throughout the night. The wall was thin so we can hear noises coming from other rooms. However, amenities of the resort was good - nice pools and steps away from ocean.
