"We have been going on MC trips for 10+ years. The goal is always to find a nice house, that will allows us some privacy and also is close to great rides. This house was that and more. The owners were fantastic, locale was perfect for rides to Cooperstown and Lake Placid. House was great. Clean, 3 queen + beds…short kayak to the lake for a swim….. Do yourself a favor and stay here for your upstate NY MC trip… Oh….they had plenty of firewood for a great fire at night!"

"Rustic, authentic Adirondack Lake House with plenty of room for the family. Plenty of outdoor equipment including a great dock to fish off of. Indoors was cozy with plenty of warming options on chilly nights and rainy days. Kitchen was well equipped and very spacious. Multiple dining areas including a very nice sun porch. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for authentic lake house experience."

"We met with my sister to do some hiking, exploring, cooking together and to celebrate her birthday. The location was private and quiet. We saw a nest of robins fledge, and were visited by rabbits and deer in the mornings. We enjoyed an evening sitting around the fire pit. It was less than 30 minutes into Saratoga Springs for shopping and to explore the Saratoga Spa State Park. Also close to many hiking trails. "This place is beautiful!! The views are incredible and the yard is huge with lots of room to play games and sit around the fire pit at night. The houses have everything you need. Just bring food and beverages! There are hay fields surrounding the property and we were able to watch the hay get cut, fluffed and then rolled. It was fascinating to watch. Hot tub was perfect! Amos is a great host and we will most definitely come back again!!"

"We had a wedding about 10 minutes from the property and it was perfect for us and our college kids to meet up. Spacious and a wonderful, quiet location for us to relax before the wedding. Plenty of space for us all to get ready and sleep comfortably. The back deck was great for us to have a few cocktails and enjoy to beautiful weather. Our stay here made our time together relaxing and enjoyable."

"We had a great stay at the South Shore Retreat House! Fully accommodated our family of 12 adults and six children. We were hosting a party at Tinney's Tavern in Lake Desolation and the South Shore House was a perfect place to retreat to at the end of the evening! Kyle was super responsive to any questions we had. "We absolutely loved staying here. The owners were very friendly and hospitable. Let us observe the milking and see all the animals. The unit is on the second floor up narrow stairs which was fine for us. The second bedroom is off the kitchen with no door. Only mentioning in case someone expects otherwise. It isn’t fancy, but the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We were completely charmed with everything there. Loved drinking our morning coffee while watching...

"Chris's property is clean , comfortable and well lit. I felt completely safe going in and out of the property. It was an upscale rv to me, as I have often stayed in hotels. "We were looking for a quiet, peaceful, lakefront cottage and Firefly Lodge delivered. We enjoyed coffee on the dock every morning and were joined by the ducks and loons. The highlight for us was watching the supermoon rise over the lake. It seemed like you could reach out and touch it. The owners were great and made sure we had no problems. We hope to be able to visit again"
